I had been a loyal fan of Wescott 8-inch "Titanium" scissors for many years. I typically purchase a new pair every year. This year when I purchased a pair in February, th esize was noticeably smaller for the same 8-inch pair of scissors. The fit for the fingers was very poor. I have rather small fingers for a man and still my fingers barely fit.The reason I'd been a loyal fan of Wescott for many years is simple: MOST SCISSORS ARE NOT SCISSORS. Yes! Really. Most scissors simply do not cut, as most razors do not cut. So when one finds a pair of scissors or razors that cuts (wtihout the end user having to sharpen them for first use), one sticks with that brand. Well Wescott messed up a good thing. They need to learn: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."Now as for these scissors -- AMAZING! Comfortable grip. SHARP! Did I mention sharp? Run all day with most brands. Don't even think of running with these scissors. These are the real deal. They are real scissors, not some fake something that wont even cut a sheet of paper like 90% of the scissors I have tried in my life. These also cut very smoothly -- very good machining and control of tolerances on the hinge -- extremely fine craftsmanship in somethign so simple as a pair of scissors. I greatly appreciate quality. Quality is a rarity in the modern era. Thank you for taking pride in something as common place as scissors.

Received these from the manufacturer under their clearanced scissors due to slight paint imperfection flaw. I am not too concerned with the small paint flaw. It's an awesome deal if you want a great go to pair of scissors. Work absolutely great very sharp cutting through fabric with ease. They are easy to grip & hold cutting nice straight clean lines. Snip off the tiny loose ends with the tips of the scissors effortlessly.

These scissors are the old-fashioned, sturdy metal kind. They are rather heavy, but they are sharp and easy to use if not exactly comfortable(there's no coating or covering on the handles). They come in a nice box, if you wish to gift them. They are well-oiled upon arrival, and they need to be cleaned, but that's actually a good sign of caring from the manufacturer.

I'm a cheapskate and though I do a lot of sewing -- in fact I make most of my own clothes-- I've only ever used the cheap plastic handle kind from Joannes.These are a huge update and I am looking forward to using these for my next projects. THey cut thru material like butter. I am not sure why I suffered the cheap kind for so long and I know there are more expensive scissors on the market but I am not sure why anyone would need more than these. The hardware and metal on these are high quality and they come slightly oiled. As with any knife or scissors as long as you keep them sharpened there should be no problem. I expect to use these for years to come.

I've been in the upholstery and window treatment buiz for 48 years and have most often used Wiss 10" shears.I don't have large hands and decided to give these 9" scissors a try. They have a plastic coating on the handles which do add a level of comfort but also SLIGHTLY reduce the inside diameter of the handles. I almost returned them because they initially felt just a tiny bit too small.I glad I didn't. These things are wicked sharp right to the tip and the 9" size and narrow tip make them just a bit more maneuverable than the Wiss. I still lean on the 10" shears for initial cutting of large pieces but I am enjoying these 9" items now have a permanent place in my selection of tools.

I cannot recommend this highly enough! They are the second pair of "real" fabric scissors that I have purchased and they are flawless.Yes they come OILED from the factory and there is a NOTE CARD enclosed about needing to wipe them BEFORE first use.These things are sharp! They are VERY pointy. And my daughter is NOT allowed to use them! They are for FABRIC ONLY in my house!I do not see a need to spend $50 on a pair of tailor scissors when one has these as an option.Get them! You will NOT be disappointed.

I miss these scissors and wish I could repurchase them. One of the many items I accidentally left behind in a move that will hopefully find its way back to me. I purchased these scissors in 2021, used them regularly, and they were still going strong as of August 2024 with no issues cutting and no need to resharpen them.

I think they are of a outstanding quality. From what I can tell they cut like a dream, but they were a gift for my girlfriend. She has bad wrist and are a little bit on the heavy side. My only suggestion would to find a little lighter alloy. Maybe one of the Japanes steels or some sort of titanium blind. If that wouldn't work I still think you have a grate product and will suggest it to more people.
