Rear Back Camera Glass Lens Replacement for Google Pixel 6 5G with Adhesive Preinstalled and Repair Toolkit (Pixel 6 5G)

I'm a diy kind of person and generally always fix things myself. I had a small crack in my camera glass and decided to try and fix it myself. Pulling the glass out wasn't difficult, just really tedious and messy. Once I got everything out and clean, I installed the glass on the phone. It looked great. Job well done I thought. When I turned my phone on, my camera was sort of blurry. It definitely is not as clear as before, especially when it's very bright or there are lights in the image, then it starts to cause glaring. I used gloves and never touched the glass. It's clean, so there's nothing obstructing the camera. I guess you get what you pay for.

Really, the only hard part was taking the time to clean out all the old, broken glass. Using a heat gun on my phone to loosen the double-sided tape inside was scary, but not hard. With a little patience, it all worked out great! This saved me from having to buy a new phone!

I went to a name brand repair shop and they quoted me over $400 to replace the glass over the camera because they would have to replace the camera, sensor and back glass. Bought this replacement glass and watch two videos online. I was able to replace the glass in about 20min. Would recommend this over paying a box store to replace.

Tools were useful and glass was perfect for Pixel 6. This was my first repair, and it only took me about 45 min.

Following the YouTube video tutorial on "Ers Bit Tech" channel for replacing the rear camera glass on my Pixel 6 phone, I was able to successfully get it done by myself with all the tools provided in this kit plus a hair dryer (on the low setting) I had at home for heating up the glass. The adhesive is already attached to the back of the rear camera glass in this kit so once you remove all the broken glass and clean up the dust and adhesive, all you got to do is attach the glass on the phone and that's the easiest part because it fits perfectly snug into the rectangular area. Just make sure the orientation of the glass is correct.I didn't end up using the sim car remover. Not sure why it was included by nice to always have a backup I suppose.I recommend using the cleaning cloths in the kit and not q-tips because q-tips will leave behind fibers.If you were confused by the photo, there's only one rear camera glass included in the kit. Not 2. But that's fine.When I was paying $12 for insurance on my phone with T-mobile, they wanted me to pay an additional $100 to completely replace the phone since they said they can't just replace the camera glass...I replaced it myself for about $12 and I can't be happier!
