Heavy Duty Tall Metal Fireplace Round Coal Scuttle Bucket Hod 21" (Black)

I loved the look of this item as it wasn't the same as all the other coal hods I'd looked at and the price was really good. This obviously has not be quality checked before being packaged as the mark is obvious and looks rusty. Shame but I don't want to risk ordering from a company that does not care enough to check the goods before packing them

The media could not be loaded.  This item is only 2 months old and the bottomHandle has completely fallen off.The handles feel very cheap and not very sturdy.The item has been described as sturdy but it is the complete opposite.I can’t even get my money back although it’s faulty.Not a happy bunny 😣

Well made item, although the handles are a little smaller than our previous scuttle. We like the taller shape as it helps load the fire.

On first appearance the product was an ideal replacement for its predecessor. However, in my humble opinion there is a design flaw in its design and construction:- The material for the body of the product is fit for purpose, but the flaw is in the design and manufacture for the handles, ewspecially the upper one. With the fineness of the gauge employed, the smaller handles require "load spreaders" within and without either side of the riveted assembly. The upper handle was torn from the body almost immediatly following first use. True to their word Amazon and the third party suppliers provided a full reimbursement of the cost.

I have to replace. My coal skuttle after a year or two. Mostly the backside rots from sitting at back door in all weather's. I opted for this one as in the pictures it had sturdier handles than usual and was advertised as heavy duty. Arrived on a Saturday and was put into use. Second fill on Sunday and the bottom handle came off!! I will say that the company were very good at reimbursing my outlay, but they should not advertise what they are not supplying

Very happy with this coal scuttle. I ordered it in Pewter and it is very smart. Nice weight, well made and good price.

Purchased this for coal but so pretty when it arrived I decided to put lavender in it . Looks lovely but not sure how it would cope with coal haven't tried .
