I would give this item 5 stars, but its a bit of a pain to figure out the first time.The app would have been much easier to use if you knew what the app was, but to documentation doesn’t tell you. In short the app name is Tuyasmart. You can find it in the App Store.As for the app, once you get the bulb to flash after you turn it on and off a few times that means it’s in pairing mode on your WiFi. After you pair it to Tuyasmart then if you have Alexa or Google home add it in your settings and boom your bulb works.I like it enough that I bought two and will probably buy more now that I got it working; painting tte second one took just seconds.

I originally purchased these bulbs because I didn't want to have to purchase a hub of some sort to get voice controllable colored lights. They were fun at first, but when setting up IFTTT, the bulbs could only be turned on and off - no color control. Granted, Google home could control the color, but I could not have the color or brightness controlled by other triggers outside of voice. This was rather disappointing, and ultimately why I ended up purchasing a hue starter kit. Once that kit came in, I realized that the bulbs are actually very dim, nor do they replicate a typical light bulb color. The color white is literally white, and they don't do well replicating a cool-white or yellow-colored filament. They were easy to set up and performed basic tasks as expected, but you get what you pay for.

These have very rich colors compared to other lower priced bulbs, and they are a breeze to setup. I used the Tuyasmart app but they were compatible with two others I already had. I bought 4 bulbs to start and then got 5 more. due to the price point and functionality (great voice controlled colors (via google home) easy to connect, easy to control, and easy to setup groups, timers, etc I have decided to make these a large part of my smart home. I like my lifx for total brightness, but these hold their own compared to other much more expensive bulbs like hue and they don't need a gateway. I'll report back if I start running into ant technical issues or longevity as I get the rest installed.EDIT: I now have 6 of these installed and they are all working great so far. 3 more to goEDIT I have 10 of these installed now and 4 are outside (shielded from the weather) I have started replacing other bulbs with these as they are more reliable, better colors, easier to setup, and much cheaper. Definitely earning the 5 stars

Get the TuyaSmart app & you’re good to go! Works as advertised. Check if you have 5G or 2.4G network before buying.If you need a bright white or want a soft white, this light’s NOT the one for you.It did an ok job showing all the colors I wanted, but when adjusting the brightness the color changed drastically. The ranges of yellow to orange colors is narrow. Also, the “white” light is very blue. After purchasing this light, I bought a 2 pack (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KJ4T71S?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) with brigter lights & a softer white light, which I prefer. They also had richer, more plentiful colors with another transitions & better brightness control.Nonetheless, this light is a full color smart light for a great price!

We bought these for our kitchen during a remodel. It took us a bit of time before we actually had the island lights hung that we would be using them in, so unfortunately it is out of the return period. The light bulbs, no matter what we tried, would not connect to our internet. We made so many changes to our internet, and we both wasted countless hours over the course of several weeks to make these work. Unfortunately, we were never able to make them connect, and so now we have three bulbs that just flash a lot. They are sitting in a closet unused.

We purchased this light bulb to use in the bedroom. It is absolutely perfect as a nightstand light. We can change the color on a whim depending on mood, or for watching TV, plus we can dim it. It can be turned to white and brightened for reading, or to a deep blue and dimmed for watching TV. The best part is my wife falls asleep faster than I do, and the lamp is on her side of the bed - by using the app on my iPhone I can turn the light off when I'm ready to go to sleep without having to get out of bed and then stumble back in the dark!Easy to use, simple to setup - and just perfect in function. We love it!

I purchased two of these bulbs and the installation for them were very easy, just download the Smart Life app and follow the instructions. That's about where the pro's for this bulb ended. Right at the one year mark, both of the bulbs lost the colors. I can now only set one to White and Green, the other will only turn to White and Blue. For the price, I was expecting these to last much longer! My Sylvania bulbs are still going strong AND I'm able to pair those with my Smartthings hub. These can work with Google, Alexa and IFTTT, but even the IFTTT support is limited.I will definitely be replacing these with Sylvania for my garage lights.

I enjoy mine very much, but because of the confusing instructions it sat around for a few days while I was experimenting with the instructions. (I think we finally figured it out by accident!) Once I did get the hang of it, it is def fun and well worth it. You can create and save your own "light shows," or choose any one of thousands of colors and shades. I have mine connected to my Alexa device in my bedroom, or I can change it with the Tuya app on my phones. Other people in the house can also use it with the app. Recommended, IF you have a little patience with the set up.
