I wasn't really into the color scheme or design when I bought but I thought it looked different. Let me tell you..... The pictures do not do this bowl justice. It's gorgeous. Perfect condition. I can't figure out a way to capture how pretty it actually is.

This matcha bowl I received is exactly as pictured; beautifully designed and large with a solid weighted feel. I really enjoy it, I wish this company would produce more designs. Very happy with my purchase, better than I expected.

I accidentally ordered two of these, but I'm not mad. Each has its own unique glazing pattern and color blending. The weight is heavy but comfortable. The sort of weight that speaks to quality. Also, the price is excellent for such a nice item. Many matcha bowls are listed for much higher cost, and I would compare the quality of these bowls against any others I have seen.

This tea bowl is being used as a lucky bamboo planter. The bowl is finished with a high gloss glaze making it very shiny. The green color is very subtle. It initially appears black until the light hits it. I am impressed by the quality and finish of this bowl.

Even though the bowl looks great, it is extremely hot when you pour hot water in it. It is basically impossible to touch without gloves/towel. Once it gets colder the drink inside gets colder as well which I find very inconvenient.

I had no idea from the picture how beautiful this would be until I got it in my hands. It's a nice size, too, which means it works well for many purposes.

I honestly didn’t think I needed a “special” bowl for preparing and drinking my matcha tea, but I’m so glad I decided to purchase this product. Besides being sturdy and attractive, it makes preparing my matcha so much easier than trying to use a mug or a regular bowl. It is the perfect size and shape and it is simple to clean. I use mine everyday. Highly recommended!
