Sturdy looking seams and fits as described. As others have mentioned, the fit is really important in sparring gear and this one leaves the right amount of space where needed to dampen the hits.

My oldest grandson is in karate. This item is perfect for him. Good item at a good price for a growing boy. He is small for his age. Was able to get the perfect size for him.

Nearly identical to the name brand Hogu its modeled after. I say nearly because the logos are different. And half price. Buy this one. It’s awesome.

I like this chest pad for this reason: it is strong and helpful. You could even kick it if you want. It's easy to slip on. But it's not that easy to tie. All the same, you can figure it out and that's why I like this chest guard. One of the instructors even said it was a good chest guard. You might feel something when punched but it's just like a hard high five. :)

My 9 year old will bring sparring as apart of his karate class. He is a big 9 weighing 90 pounds and 5 feet 1 inch tall. I ordered A child large (he normally wears a large 12-14 in clothes) it fit him perfectly. I don’t think it’ll hold up for next year but it will do the job for this year.

Fit as expected

Ordered two of these last week, one for myself and one for my 13 yo son. The sizes are perfect. The product feels great and it's not even broke in yet. Wear it to sparring class the other day and allowed it to take some good hits and I love this thing. Our instructor was super excited to see this brand at this price. He will be getting a few more soon.
