A little on the pricier side, but it is of much higher quality than the majority of other rollers. Firm, but not too firm. Has just enough give to be comfortable and just enough hardness to do its job. I have no complaints. This isn't a roller that was pumped off a cheap assembly line to cash in on those pursuing pain relief.

I ordered this soft foam roller after using a similar one in physical therapy for my back. This roller was less expensive than the one used in PT and doesn't have a wipeable surface for sanitizing like theirs, but it is perfect for home use. I also follow Bob and Brad (the two most famous physical therapists on the Internet, in their opinion), who stated that many people find the firmer density rollers and half rollers too painful, which I agree with. I LOVE this soft half foam roller! I use it horizontally lying on my back and kind of rock side to side while inching my way up or down to target different muscles along my spine. It is just firm enough to do the job, but not so firm as to hurt. Since PT loosened my vertebrae, I am able to get some good pops using this method. Then I lie with it vertically along my spine to allow the weight of my body to open up my ribcage and give my back a good stretch that way. I use it every night at bedtime. I don't even have to put it on the floor--just lay it on the bed. Hope this information will help anyone experiencing back pain.

I had previously purchased a half foam roller which turned out to be very, very hard. I read the reviews and returned that one and purchased this one which has just the right firmness. It's like the one in Physical Therapy. Read Reviews before purchasing.

Great product.

I’m a pilates instructor and this half roller is a game changer for helping clients find and hold neutral on the reformer as well as opening up the chest. It’s super soft and comfortable to lay on for longer periods of time. And more stable to use on the Cadillac as well. I’ve had this in my saved for later cart for nearly 6 months trying to justify purchasing yet another roller, but so glad I finally did. My other rollers are Balanced Body so I was unsure about this brand, but very pleased with it so far! It’s softer than even Balanced Body’s softest light gray roller so be prepared for a super soft roller.

This is very well made and I am sure experienced yoga users would love it. However, for a beginner it is very hard and hard to position under your back.

Use for a home pilates studio and it is perfect for stretching out back and providing support. Perfect hardness. Wanted one just like the studio I attend.
