Worth it just for the calling and messaging
Phone calls and messaging works great, and we saved a good chunk of money by using the watch instead of adding our son to our current family plan. We used the SIM card that came with the watch and set-up was not so bad. Overall, we are paying less for the phone plan with this company as opposed to adding an extra line to our AT&T plan.

the best gps watch on the market!
I have been looking for a gps watch for my 8 year old for months! I even ordered a $30 one and it was horrible; the instructions were not clear and I couldn't get it to work for the life of me. I received the POMO Waffle and was so surprised at how easy the set up was. My daughter rides her bike to school so I wanted something I could watch her get to school and home. She is able to call myself and my husband and text us. It even has a "get me home" option so if she was to get lost it will give her step by step directions on how to get home. This watch is amazing! I would defiantly recommend it to other parents who want to be able to get in touch with their children without the drama of a phone and internet access. My 8 year old is very tech saavy and absolutely loves this watch; she loves the style of the watch and adores having her own "smart watch"

My kid loves it
Great product that my daughter loves and will not take off. She wears it everywhere she goes. The watch seems to have been designed with higher quality materials than other kids smart watches, and it has a nice large touch screen which is easy to use.I find it really convenient that I can control most of the functions from my phone remotely. During school time, I use the in class mode which disables the watch. You can even set the exact time periods and days to use this function automatically. No more worries about her using smart phone all day in the class. The GPS location takes a few minutes to update, but in my area (Northern California) it seems to work pretty well. There are few instances where the GPS is off, but after waiting a few minutes, it tends to update to be more accurate. With 3G speed it’s a bit slower than my phone but it is enough for what it does. So far we are satisfied with the Pomo watch.

Bad execution of a great idea
Bought the watch directly off the manufacturer - not through Amazon.Pros:-Looks great-Innovative - has SMS, tracking, GPS navigation.Cons:-Setup is not easy - getting a SIM, updating through wi-fi only - the app is no use at all for this.-Hard to click the right buttons on a small watch - if you are an adult and don't have baby fingers - setup will test your patience for a few hours.-Only 1-day charge -and barely even that.So a kid can not go on a 2-3 day trip without charging it all the time. Which kids don't like doing.-The charger is poorly designed - so the watch is often not charging when you think it is.So overall - after paying $200 - I have a good looking watch which is just sitting there. Not enough desire to use it because of complicated upkeep. My daughter wore it a few times just as "a cool thing" - but with a dead battery. If the manufacturer will fix all of the above - there is a potential for a great tool - but as is, the watch is a hassle to own.

Lousy customer service and non-working basic features.
GPS function does not work well. The app updates positions at random times. Even though there's an "update now" icon on the app, it simply refuses to work until it feels like updating at a time it sees fit (10mins to 60 mins unpredictably). And even so, the position can be 200meters off, depending on location and its mood. The map that they use on the watch and app is not google maps. So, you can expect some roads to disappear and other roads you never knew existed to appear. At first glance, the map looks alien to me. Also, they use different road names than google maps. It just becomes confusing if you are used to maps from Waze and google maps. The battery of 1 day is very inconvenient. Usually, it won't even last half a day. If you keep checking the position of your beloved child, even though it fails most of the time. They take away and add features they promised without warning. And there's no way to revert back to the old features you like. For example, they take away the alarm (!!!!) and mosquito repellent features and adds a language translation feature (which can be awesome, IF IT WORKS!! BUT IT DOESN'T!! The microphone does not even work for this feature! And if you ask about this to customer service, they will simply ignore you.). Worst thing is, they don't reply to emails or inquiries. I bought the watch through kickstarter some years ago, so lucky for me it is not as expensive as it costs right now.

Poor Hardware and Interface
At least they continue to provide updates, but that can’t remedy the poor battery life and useless charging connectors. The bands can fall off a kids wrist too easily and that is if there is any battery life from attempting to charge with a BS proprietary magnetic connector.Ting is the only provider worth dealing with if you he it.A better attempt than many, but I’ll pass these to goodwill.

It's well worth for the great gift for this year
Thanks for the ease of use and blasting function of tracking. My girls feel safe on her wrist and it peace of our mind to get the right track to monitor our child locations. It's well worth for the great gift for this year.
