Pretty good
Pretty good. I did not buy this mat for writing rather for drawing. It's a great non mess item and can also entertain younger ones. The water fades at a good rate about 10 seconds to a minute depending how much water you apply. Only complaint is that there are lines as if water has been applied but they don't come off. The mat is a good size, about the size of a place mat. You can make nice precise lines but the lines do get a bit thicker once the water hits the mat.

Excellent product; Excellent seller to work with.
This item, Magic Cloth, is easy to work with; brush lines are sharp, water evaporates as it should. The material is light as a feather making it easy to carry with you anywhere together with your brush. I don't have to bring out the inks all the time now just to practice my brush work, and can also practice while watching TV during commercials. Time really goes by quickly when using it. The other day three hours had gone by and I thought only one hour had passed. It is a fun item to practice with and worth spending the money on to save on the expense of ink until serious ink work is going to be done. In addition, this company, Master Chinese, are very professional and nice people and to communicate with should you have any problems with your order. I would give them a higher rating than five stars if I could for their EXCELLENT Customer Service; I had to email them and they responded right-away and took care of the problem; it was a pleasure communicating with them. I can with confidence recommend this seller and would 100% do business with them again. When storing my Magic Cloth away for a while, I loosely place it back in the shipment box it arrive in. I also pulled the tube out of wrapping paper to roll the Magic Cloth and keep it there during daily use to maintain its flat surface; just my hints, you may have your own method.

It does what it says, not bad. The drawback is that cloth is folded. The folded marks destroy the squares. I won't be able to write on those squares. That's annoying.

Great innovation!!
This product is just a lifesaver. Now every time I want to practice writing calligraphy, I don'y have to spend at least half an hour grinding my own ink ( I prefer it over prepared ones). The ability to reuse the same mat is something i would have never thought of before. Since it is so light and comes with a case, it makes for the perfect travel companion.A little reminder though, is that this seems to only work with water, I got a little bit of blood on it and it doesn't seem to go away. It's probably because I permanently stained it when I got a non-water substance on it. Also, the words don't disappear immediately, so depending on personal preferences, it might or might not be an issue.

Decent.
Pretty good! Nothing spectacular. The cloth isn't white. It's more of a greyish blue. However, that doesn't obscure the black ink at all. My only complaint is that it doesn't stay very long. The characters begin to warp and disappear pretty quickly. Good and very convenient for practice though!

Gridded practice "Magic" cloth
Arrived quickly, in perfect condition. The grid lines on this really help with drawing kanji and it really looks like ink when using a brush and water. Very helpful and I would definitely reccomend for caligraphy or learning characters.

so I highly recommend this to anyone looking to practice their calligraphy
With the right amount of water on a calligraphy brush, it works as if using ink, and by the time all grids are filled, the first grids are already dry enough to start over, and I live in the South-Eastern US where humidity is relatively high, so I highly recommend this to anyone looking to practice their calligraphy.
