I bought this set of stencils for journaling and creating color charts, specifically I needed rectangles. The stencils are made of clear plastic that I would guess is around 1/8 inch thick and there is a wide assortment but they are much smaller than I had anticipated, roughly 3 x 5 inches or so. A few of the stencils were not properly cut out or formed and have small ridges (specially a few squares and rectangles) so when I use certain ones they are not perfect and have a small bump. I have been using a black office gel pen with them and thankfully they do not smear or bleed under the template itself as there is a slight angle like proper drafting tools that prevent bleeding under the plastic from happening.It's an OK set but if looking for larger size templates this set isn't the best option.

Exactly what I was expecting, just wanted a set of cheap stencils for drawing and doodling. I don't need them to be super exact, so if you're looking for really nice technical stencils these won't fit the bill. They are stiff plastic, and I did have to remove a few pieces of thin plastic from inside the shapes, but I was able to sand them down to be fairly smooth. Worth the cheap price in my opinion. The lines for centering shapes are off, but again I didn't need them to be exact.

In addition to using this item to draw geometric shapes on paper you can also use them to portion/measure your dry pasta for cooking. Some nights you may just want a small ellipse of spaghetti. Other nights I am so hungry I eat the large parallelogram. Many of the shapes can be combined to draw a cool robot.
