UPDATE five months later: This recorder no longer works! It sucks because it was doing so well. Now it won't hold a charge. Save YOUR MONEY AND JUST GO BUY A DIFFERENT MORE EXPENSIVE RECORDER.High quality. I must say sometimes when I am turning up the volume, I get disappointed because it does not go up past 40, which sounds very low to me sometimes....but other than that this is perfect!!!! Everytime I playback or transfer to computer, the volume is fine because the audio is audible.I bought this to record my singing. My plabacks are VERY CLEAR. The water being played on some of these reviews is a part of the recorded so from my experience, the audio isn't THAT clear, but it is GOOD ENOUGH.This recorded allows me to record my voice and my ideas and I love it. IT IS EASY TO USE AND YOU CAN TRANSFER FILES DIRECTLY TO THE COMPUTER VIA USB CHORD THAT COMES WITH PACKAGE.If it helps, the recorded physically is veryyyyy small like literally it would even be small in a toddler's hands, but it looks hi-tech and it packs a full punch.The files themselves are .wav so if you need .mp3, you can just convert online for free like I did.All in all, BUY IF YOU NEED AN EFFECTIVE TOOL for recording audio.

I received this item on 12-11-2017 and it was working great. Then the other day it would show it was recording and i saved the recording as usual. the recording is not there. it was fully charged by the way. i had 2 very important recordings already on it , but they would not play. so i tried to delete the 2 previous and it said " NO FILE ! ". I know the recorder very well and now it just doesn't work. i am very disappointed and i lost those 2 important recordings. i handled it with very good care and now it's nothing. you have no idea how much i needed those 2 recordings. i bought it my reading the reviews and the rating which some times i base my purchases on , but not always. i don't have a printer , but i am going to ask for a refund and see what they say. The description on the website says it can record in the mp3 format, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do it. Everything recorded in WAV. The instructions that came with it didn't explain how to change the recording format. I even tried experimenting with "recording quality" in case that was how to do it. Nothing worked and I got no responses when I posed a question about this. It's a shame because the sound quality was good and the price was right. It's also compact (and yet with some nice heft to it that feels good in your hand) and comes in a nice box. I just need a recorder that records mp3s so this is getting returned.

I often use voice recorders and have worn out about 7 in the last few years. This product seemed to good to be true at this priced because I have spent upwards of $300 for one of my much older recorders. But, and it is a big but, I have no idea how to use it. The very few instructions that came with it had very, very little English text, and what little there is didn't tell me what to do with it.

Excellent. Surprisingly small and thin. Love it! Great quality and nice packaging. Almost iPhone-like. The recorder came fully charged and I could test it right away. The sound was clear and it's intuitive to operate. I didn't bother reading the manual. I didn't test it in noisy surroundings cause I do not anticipate that I'll use it under those circumstances anyway. Overall better than expected! Very happy with the purchase.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Instructions are virtually worthless, and confusing. Whoever translated in their booklet to English obviously doesnt have more than a beginner's intro to English. Whatever instructions there are, the mechanics of operation are very confusing. A very frustrating machine to operate. Yes, it recorded and did playback well, but if you cant operate it except by pure luck, what is the point? I was cheap, and I got what I paid for.
