Guaraná, Paullinia cupana, is a climbing plant in the maple family, Sapindaceae, native to the basin and especially common in Brazil. Guarana features large leaves and clusters of flowers, and is best known for the seeds from its fruit, which are about the size of a coffee bean. As a dietary supplement, guarana is an effective stimulant: its seeds contain about twice the concentration of caffeine found in coffee seeds (about 2–4.5% caffeine in guarana seeds compared to 1–2% for coffee seeds). As with other plants producing caffeine, the high concentration of caffeine is a defensive toxin that repels herbivores from the berry and its seeds. The guarana fruit's colour ranges from brown to red and contains black seeds which are partly covered by white arils. The colour contrast when the fruit has been split open has been likened to eyeballs; which has formed the basis of an origin myth among the Sateré-Mawé people.

I'm someone who can't have caffeine because it gives me shakiness, jitters and heart palpitations. My parents told me about this product and I was skeptical but gave it a try. I noticed energy right away! Without all the side effects caffeine gives! Didn't affect my sleep at night at all either which is also a major plus. And the other thing is I seriously forget to eat sometimes because I never feel hungry! I eat of course, but often times have to remind myself. I'm sure this would aid in weight loss too.

Sawdust tablet
I don't know what's in this but I doubt it's Guarana. I had used Guarana before this brand and it helped a lot in the past. This literally looks and tastes like sawdust compressed into a tablet. It didn't do anything. I even tried to up the dosage took 4 at a time, same results.

definitely worth a try, works well if you take 2
I don't know if it's a placebo or it's really working, but my productivity has tripled and i've shaken the brain fog feeling I get when i've spent too long in front of a screen. Feel very motivated and focused without the groggy feeling that comes with a coffee. I've given these four stars as i've only had this feeling since taking two tablets in one go and didn't notice much difference to normal when only taking one. It may be that I have a high tolerance to caffeine, but either way these are definitely worth a try if you're not sure. No side effects and a very productive few days!

Not worth the money
Chucked this out after a week. Gave me a sore stomach. I thought it would probably be doing me more harm than good. Not worth risking your health and well-being. I recommend this to anyone.

maybe it's due to suggestion, but i feel more energized since i take those pills so, i don't know if that it's going to work for others but i'm very happy with my purchase
