Great fun!
Catnapped is another great entry in the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series. It has everything I’ve come to expect from Ms. Blain in this series - a strong heroine (Diana is one of the strongest), an entertaining plot, plenty of snark and sarcasm, action, an appropriate touch of mayhem, plus the chance to visit with old friends including one of my favorites, Satin! I especially enjoyed this book because it takes threads from several earlier books and starts tying them together.I found two of my favorite Blain quotes in this book:“I’m just one of many a$$holes in my family, and I have dedicated thousands of years of my life to mastering my craft.” (Sorry, folks, but Amazon blocked my review the first time I tried to post, and the word I used a substitution for here is the only reason I can find for why.)and:“... my brother is sometimes more dense than the average rock.”“Are we discussing pumice or granite? There’s a pretty significant difference in the average density of rocks, Gabriel.”The archangel sighed. “Closer to granite. I forgot pumice existed, as most rocks are rather dense.”“How dare those volcanoes ruin your metaphor,” I replied, careful to keep my expression and tone neutral. If you’re an R. J. Blain fan, or just a fan of good writing and snark, treat yourself to this book!

Good story, little lacking on the main Characters.
I absolutely love this series. I love the characters and their backstories, the interactions, and all the humor. That said, I can't give this story a five star. I felt the main two characters (Diana and Darian) were upstaged by the supporting characters ( Lucy, Gabriel and Him). Blain is normally really good at filling out the characters backstories and making you vested in them, but while this was hinted at, for both characters, it wasn't really filled out. The supporting characters are what make you like the main characters because of their interactions as opposed to you liking the main characters for themselves. It just didn't seem as focused and detailed as the other books in the series. As much as I love Lucy, I felt this book was more focused on him than it should have been. It was still a good book, I loved the plot, loved the secondary Characters as I have already fallen for them in the past, and can't wait for Lucy to find out Darlene is Pregnant ( whenever He allows that to happen as was hinted in Chip on her shoulder) but while I liked the couple by the end of the book, I didn't love them, and despite it being told from Diana's point of view, felt they were more supporting characters than the actual supporting characters. Still love the series but the supporting characters are what made this story good.

Thoughtful Insight Couched in Humor
I'm a long-time fan of the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a Body Count) series for a ton of reasons. The most important, to me, is the thoughtful insight into culture and religion, especially, provided. "Catnapped" is set in a world that, while magical in almost every sense of the word, showcases the downsides as well as the good. I particularly appreciate the inclusion of all the dialog - not only does it give me a deeper sense of the characters, it also is an excellent vehicle for the differing viewpoints and their exploration.Ok, now that all the heavy stuff's out of the way - this is just a plain fun book. While seemingly fluffy on the surface, there are some great chewy bits to get into to wrap your brain around. Diana is the type of woman, type of person, many of us wish we could be. She's a strong female whose abilities are complemented by a strong male. There are no dominance games, no dramatic relationship roller coasters, just good, clean (if you don't mind some spicy language) fun. I've loved all the books and can't wait for more!

Another great read
I absolutely adore R.J. Blain's Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series. She has a fun, whimsical, stream-of-consciousness style that makes me laugh, and this book was no different. It had a very satisfying ending.

Complicated but worth it
I have to admit, that some of the talk in this book I didn't understand.I'm not great with philosophical things. This book is great though, and seems like a great place for the author to pull together some of the strings that are necessary in this world.I love her take on religion and the Christian pantheon.

FUN, ENTERNAING STORY
Loved the story. I as cat lover can emphasize with the main character. I also love equines. Most real breeds and magical Types of equines. She has so far listed more than I knew existed. Yet to see if there has been mentioned the Asian unicorns unless I missed it.

Crazy Cat Lady With Lucifer On Speed Dial...
I tend to read at least a book a day. When I was down, especially while recovering from cancer, I'd search for a comedy to read. Then I found RJ Blain, her comedies are now my "go to" for a bad day. I have read her other genres, and she's a wonderful writer no matter what style she's writing in. However, if you're only Interested in laugh out loud comedies only read this series - her other series are darker. If you would believe, people actually give those lower ratings because they wanted to read a comedy but didn't pay attention to the series title! That makes both the author and her fans very angry. The Author has stated that she will stop writing the comedy series first if that continues to happen and that will be very, very sad. But she is totally within her rights because some unobservant individual is negatively effecting her ability to make a living and her status as an author (yes, reviews here on Amazon do effect the amount of money an author makes, sadly, it's not just based on book sales). Please be careful how you treat the work of others lest you want your own work to be similarly misinterpreted.

Another amazing tale
I loved Darlene and Lucifers story, so to have them heavily featured in this novel was a delight. Diana was a character I thoroughly enjoy, as the story goes on, I find myself liking her more and more. The use of different pantheons was quite well done and very intriguing, as well as refreshing to hear a different take on certain beliefs. Also cats, who doesnt love cats?

A fun read.
Diane come home from work and finds her house ransacked and her cat missing, she calls the police but a catnapping does not get much of a response soooooo then she calls The Devil. As you do. Diane works for the C.D.C. So is very familiar with Lucifer and his wife Darlene, whom she considers friends. Lucifer introduces Diane to Darrin the son of a Demon, Archangel and Human as someone who can help her find her cat. Lucifer knows exactly where her cat is but because of the rules about what he can involve himself with ——— anything which could bring about the End of Days he is forbidden from interfering———— he cannot help Diana directly. As with other books in this series this is very dialogue heavy, but it’s a fun read with an interesting take on Gods, Devils, Heaven and Hells. I really enjoyed it.

So, so very good!
Another great story that I had to pace myself or I would’ve read it all in one go. The books from R.J.Blain (and her other pen names) are my favourite present to myself when the world is too much for me.Diana and Darian are wonderful characters and perfect additions to Lucy’s extended family. I loved all the cameos from previous books too, definitely need to re-read those again.Loved it.

Enjoyable new book!
That was a great book that I cannot wait to read again. I would say that this book is best read after all the other Magic Rom Com books, as some of our favourite characters from other books are mentioned!A note to new readers: these books are more about the conversations then action but are still amazing. All of RJ Blain's series are different and highly recommended
