Harcourt Trophies: A Harcourt Reading / Language Arts Program, Grade 3

I am using this to teach my daughter for testing since she will be testing next year. We homeschool and live in an area where testing is required at 3rd grade and above. I usually use a very self guided but classical approach to reading writing spelling vocabulary so this works well with what we do.

My son used the Harcourt Trophies series in 2nd grade this year and we thought it'd be nice to use the 3rd grade version for our home Summer School to prepare for 3rd grade. The book came in like new condition.....much better condition that the copies he was issued at school this past year. The book arrived in under a week (over Memorial Day weekend so that's quick) so we had it in plenty of time before we start our Summer work. If your child is familiar with this series and you as a parent have worked with them in this series, it should be a seamless transition to this reader.

This book is used in my 3rd grader's classroom daily....We are lucky! If it is not in your child's classroom, order it for them. The stories and illustrations are wonderful. Refreshing change! Get this book! It will be in your collection for years.

Covers a wide variety of story types, and core reading goals. I love the vocab words at the beginning of each story. So far I've only read the first story, but it was really funny!

Grandson does not have to bring his reading book home. It's nice to have one in the home. Book is in great shape.
