How much weight can each rod hold?

I have four 15 LB spools of 16 gauge automotive wire on each rod. So at least 60 plus pounds per rod.

Can this be mounted on a pegboard?

Not sure how much weight your pegboard can support. It does get heavy after filling it full. We mounted ours to the wall using anchors and haven’t had any issues. Hope this helps.
