I absolutely love Kitchari! I prepare and eat it several times a week. I bought this spice blend instead of my usual brand as I wanted to get a larger size than was available with my 'usual'. I wish I had not taken the risk as I'm now stuck with a large container of spice I won't use. I've made a huge batch of kitchari, and can barely finish one bowl :-((( It is MUCH hotter than any other Kitchari I've tried - too spicy to eat....and I do eat spicy food. This might be to the tastes of some, but not mine. Kitchari is a healing dish and should be on the mild side to avoid aggravating pitta dosha. My mouth and lips are burning - this is NOT a good Kitchari spice. Double stuck as seller does not accept returns of this product. Extremely disappointed.

Ginger is the 3rd listed ingredient; if you want a very gingery mix, this is for you. Banyan's product lists ginger as the 5th ingredient; that's a better product for me than this Pride of India. Other than the fact that it's too gingery for my tastebuds, no complaints-- the product seems fresh.

After meeting with an Ayurvedic doctor, we embarked on a kitchari cleanse. We ordered this spice to help simplify and it did the trick wonderfully! Delicious taste and you get alot for the price. Very happy with this order.

I’m addictive to this kitchari mix. It tastes really good. I also use it to season ground beef and chicken as well.
