You only get 5 shims for $10, which given the price of shim stock is a bit aggressive, however these are a perfect fit. If you don't want the hassle of finding or making the proper sized shims for your AR barrel nut to be timed at the proper torque - these will 100% work.I needed 2 shims from the kit (total of .008") to clock the barrel nut on a UTG quadrail that was incorrectly installed by the previous owner, and with these it was completely hassle free.I would quite like it if there were more sizes offered, because sometimes you pull the entire quadrail assembly apart by mistake and have to re clock the handguard connector (1-3/8" id shim needed)...I would absolutely recommend this for those of you with aftermarket quadrails that wont clock properly to the gas tube inlet on the upper under correct torque. I go to about 65ft/lbs on mine, and I wouldn't recommend much lower than that. Keep in mind the proper torque steps for an AR as well before you go buy parts you don't need. Torque to 30lbs and loosen 3-5 times to seat the threads, then bump up 10ft/lbs per torque and loosen cycles until you hit 65 ft/lbs+. Don't go above 80ft/lbs.

First, let me say the shipping was phenomenally fast. That along with the price for five shims is fantastic. And the shims were good to go. I prefer not to go over 65 ft-lbs on AR barrel nuts. These got me timed up correctly without the need to go over that. The best compliment I can give is, I will be ordering more this payday just to keep on hand for that next build.

Work as advertised. I’ve bought a total of ten for various projects. They’re a little pricy but there are no substitutes from any more common suppliers. I calipered them just for giggles and they meet specified dimensions. Shipping was fast.
