Makes me wish I was going to Disney tomorrow
One vibe that I got right off the bat from reading this book was:"Man, this guy who wrote this book is a dork.". I mean as you're reading you can feel the dorkiness dripping off of every page. It makes me slightly reminiscent of how in the movie A Christmas Story, Ralphie internally about how amazing the "Red Rider BB gun with a compass in the stock and that thing that tells the time" is and proceeds to ramble on about it to any and everyone. That might sound negative, but it actually works to the author's benefit. When Michael Fridgen tells you about Disneyland Resort, he TELLS you about the Disneylan Resort. When he talks about Walt Disney World, he TALKS about Walt Disney World. This man probably has more knowledge about Disney than I have knowledge. Period. And that's one area where his dorkiness really pays off.You can tell that the author has a passion, it's why he's written so many books about theme parks. You can tell that he loves these places and isn't just giving a review on some place he's had to go or just gone to one time or another. He gives you a synopsis worthy of a doctoral thesis on one resort alone because he's spent the time there making every second chalked full of enjoyment. When you read this book, he not only tells you about the parks, but also about his own life and experiences at these places because he's visited every. single. place, including the cruises. This book isn't some dull guide, instead it reads a lot like a story, making it easy to digest and it lets you see how each place has left a mark on him and how it has the potential to make an impact on you or your family or your loved ones.Aside from specific details about the different Disney resorts, there is a plethora of good traveling tips in general in order to make any trip enjoyable. He covers room and board, transportation, websites to visit, and addresses just to name a few.Whether you intend on visiting Disney or not, which the author heavily urges that you should, it's a worthwhile read just for the pure entertainment of his enthusiasm and for the helpful hints.I would heavily recommend reading this book for its usefulness as an in-depth guide for traveling to Mickey Mouse's Kingdom and for the amazing way that the information is presented, even though it can seem to bounce around from topic to topic at times. Money well spent.

The Soup to Nuts of Disney Vacation Planning
Did you know that California’s Disneyland keeps a lamp burning 24/7 in remembrance of its founder Walt Disney? How about if you stay at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel that you will find pajamas in your room because of the cultural norms in Japan? Well, I didn’t either but I learned this and much more from reading Mr. Fridgen’s well-written and comprehensive guide titled “World Traveler’s Guide to Disney”. He not only writes about all the essentials such as hotels, restaurants and of course rides but also provides tips about things such as travel insurance, surviving jet lag and interesting tidbits about navigating foreign cultures while visiting overseas Disney locations. One of the best physical features of the travel guide is its very organized layout- Disney parks are featured in chronological order from oldest to most recently built. The chapters focused on the parks (and cruise) contain the following information:• An in-depth description of how the park was “born”• Need to know information such as getting to the park, time zone, ticket price information• Available lodging options• The park organized into sections (i.e. Adventureland, Tomorrowland) with descriptions of rides, places to eat and shows to see• Special events such as parades, fireworks shows, holiday happenings, etc.• Local attractions of the areaMr. Fridgen’s enthusiasm shines through as it is clear to the reader he is a true “Disneyophile” if there is such a thing. The guide is full of warmth, doses of humor and personal anecdotes by the writer that helps to keep the text from being dull and dry which one might expect from this type of work. If you are dreaming about your next Disney adventure or are a novice wondering how in the world to start planning your journey to Mickey’s home, look no further than “World Traveler’s Guide t

A whole new look at the world of Disney... who knew there was so much!
The first time I went to Disney was in Japan, when I was 16. I rather enjoyed it so much that our next family vacation to Florida I asked that we go to Disney. If you enjoy going to Disney, have always wanted to go to Disney or even alittle of both... "World Travelers Guide to Disney is a good book to have on hand. Michael is a passionate Disney adventurer who haas visited first hand every Disney park or cruise available on earth (literally) and knows the ins and outs of each location. He goes into great detail about the best places to eat, accommodations and things you don't want to miss. He even list off his personal favorite Disney locations and explains why he thinks they are the best. If you're looking for an indepth guide or just to have a better experience at your next Disney vacation... I highly recommend this book!
