Great for calligraphy
These are incredibly similar to the TOMBOW fudenosuke line of small brush pens. I love the color range and the up and down strokes are defined. I’ll definitely be purchasing more of the color lines.

Nice Set
I usually really like most of the Arteza items that I get to review, but these different sets of felt brush pens are a bit confusing to me. There is no name or number of the color on the pens themselves on all three sets that I got. They show the colors in the box on the back of the box, yet once again no number or color name which makes it difficult to see if you get repeating colors in each set. I think perhaps I will try to print out the color chart in the listing, except the color chart for the basic set which doesn't have a color name in the listing either. I expect better from Arteza. This pack is 24 pens called Landscape colors. Depending, I suppose, on the artist's definition of landscape colors if these will give you enough of the correct colors for rendering landscapes. Do they want to draw an entire scene, a tree, or a flower garden you may or may not have what you need color wise. In the listing's color chart they have the colors broken down into 4 landscapes scenarios. Sunset, Sunrise, Northern Light[s], and Desert. As those four 'landscapes' only appear in the Amazon listing, I don't know how many artists will notice them or think to work in those four 'landscapes'. When I think about making a landscape, I think about what is outside my door which cuts out the Northern Lights and the desert. Our area is known for great sunsets and the colors that are shown as the sunset colors would certainly work. As I said, it depends on the artist and their specific needs. One point is that the color caramel brown is repeated again in the seasonal box. I don't know for sure if any of the basic colors are repeated in the other boxes because of not having any assigned names. At $1.33 - $1.09 per pen, to buy each of the different sets, I would be upset to pay that much for a pen to be repeated. It also gives me pause that the first use suggested for them is note taking. Granted when I was in high school, college, and nursing school, we didn't have such a plethora of pens and markers, but I think I would still take notes in regular blue pen and as I go through the notes later, highlight important notes by color. I can see using these for doodling, and journaling, etc. So far, other than swatching the colors, I haven't done much with them yet. I have had a busy few months. I want to learn calligraphy and as these pens are supposed to be good for that and adding in color to your writing, I think that is what I plan on using them for.One of the photos shows all three of the sets I have. I do note, that at least to my eyes, there is not a single real red color. Even those colors that might have different names, seem to be very similar. Before buying these, you might want to make sure that you will be getting the colors that are the most important to you and make that the first set you get so that not only do you have the colors you want, but you can try out the pens themselves to see how they work for you.I appreciate the opportunity to try these out. Thank you.

Not impressed
I normally love Arteza but I'm not impressed with these. The colors are just blah. Seems like they lack pigment, just very dull. They recommend storing flat for best use, but I don't have space for that and have stored them upright like all my other pens and this has caused some to dry out almost. So now I'm storing them upside down in hopes to fix them, but I find that aggravating that the require to be stored a certain way to still work. Definitely over priced for the quality.
