I have purchased 3 of these cameras and they are a good value, but I prefer the Eufy C22 camera. Firstly, if you are going to point the camera at an area that has a lot of motion, the battery will die relatively quickly. I have it pointed at a street where it records about 90 videos a day and I find I have to recharge it about every other day. I have another camera in the backyard that only records about 10 videos a day and the battery lasts a couple of weeks. Bottom line, I would not use in a high traffic area.After the initial free period when you can use all the features of the app, you cannot set motion detection to only pick up humans. That sucks if you are covering an area where you only care if a person comes into view.You cannot log into the app on mutiple devices at the same time. If I log into the app on my ipad, I will be kicked out of the app in on my phone.Customer service is great. They have responded within 24 hours whenever I had a question or issue.The Eufy C22 camera costs about $20 more and is plug in (no battery). The Eufy app can run on multiple devices at the same time. The images are slightly clearer and load quickly. I find that the VicoHome app that is used with this camera is slow to load videos in comparison. If you will be monitoring an area that will see a lot of activity, I would go with the C22 if you have an outlet within 20 feet, otherwise, this camera is a great option.

We bought this outdoor Security Camera because we'd been having problems with the neighborhood kids vandalizing the outside of our apartment and harassing our family members. I was looking for something that had great image quality with some type of night vision for not a lot of money. I really thought I would be very limited in my options and wasn't expecting much with this particular camera. I was so wrong, this camera is so much higher in quality than what I thought I was getting. They really undersold it in the description. The daytime vision is crisp and the colors are accurate which I expected. What I didn't expect was for it to appear that way at night too. This camera takes images so clearly at night in B&W or color that you would think it's still light out. The Police would have no problems identifying the intruders with this camera. There is also a really bright cold white light that comes on via motion sensor at night when movement is detected close by. The app that works with it is really basic interface but gives you notifications with image on your phone when the camera is in use. Its easy to install and the application can be used on different devices. I really can't say enough about how great this camera is especially for the price. We also haven't had any more problems with the neighborhood kids and our neighbors love that they benefit from the camera because it also shows their door too. I absolutely recommend it to everyone!

This is the fourth camera purchased from this manufacturer.The good:1. Installation is straightforward. Download the app, connect the device to Wi-Fi, position the camera for best viewing, and you are done.2. The app (free) is pretty much bug free and works well on Apple products. I don’t have any direct experience with other platforms.3. Image clarity is very good as is color rendition.4. Nigh vision mode is surprisingly good. Of course, its range is limited to about 40 feet or so.5. You can use the app without monthly charges. If more functionality is desired plans are available to greatly increase the productivity of the devices.6. The devices can be shared with other users.7. All my devices were hardwired but I helped a friend install a solar unit and they are happy with its performance.The not so good:1. An app is required to access the devices. To the best of my knowledge there is no website where these images can be accessed. This makes it unavailable for smart homes.2. The mounting hardware has gotten less robust over time. The devices were ordered over a space of a year or so. Picture quality is still very good, but the mounting hardware not longer includes the easily adjustable magnetic mounts. What is supplied is sufficient, but just barely so. The device uses a standard ¼-20 screw so fabricating a mount would not be difficult.

I bought this camera during Black Friday sales for $40. It was to be a Christmas present for my mother's house, as she was one of the only homeowners in her neighborhood without a security camera. I chose to start her out with this one because it's battery powered (which made me think easy set-up) and because you don't have to pay extra for 2-way talk or a week's worth of video storage. WELL, Mom ended up having a scare when a suspicious young man nearly stepped into her home, questioning her about a lost phone. He didn't visit any of the other neighbors, so I was concerned that she was being targeted, and gave her the camera that day instead of waiting for Christmas. The camera was already charged, I had the app set up and the wifi connected within 10 minutes, and it would've been only another 10 minutes to put the camera up on the house if I'd had the right tools (I was drilling through concrete and needed a better drill bit). A trip to Home Depot later and the camera was up by that evening! Picture quality is great, night vision is just as good, and the app is easy to navigate. There is a delay when trying to tune into the live feed, but I'm sure that's with every camera. Motion detection is sensitive, but not so sensitive that a slight wind through the leaves will be bothering you. I have no issues and I've already ordered two more!

Update!!!So the wonderful seller reached out to me in regards to letting me know that the battery will drain fast depending on your settings and sensitivity since I have my camera running 24 seven and I’m in a high traffic area as a parking lot it continuously goes on but I can say it’s awesome now I ended up getting an outlet and just running the USB cord out and let it charge and be charging all day unless it rains I will unplug it and let it run on the battery but this option has worked great for me I love that it was a lower price camera and I literally get an alert for everything even an animal it detects FedEx trucks everything I love it !! We’ve had so many issues going on at our apartment that even the nighttime camera has came in handy I can set an alarm I can make the alarm go off I can make the spotlight go on so I’m certainly now excited and I’m glad that I gave y’all a true updated review! If you have a wall outlet outside or one of those outlets in the lightbulb this will be the camera for you!I really wanted to love it and really like the software but I literally charged it all day only for it to last not even two days. Bummer returning
