Failed out of the box! [SEE UPDATE]
Installed in combo with a brand new AquaSurge 4000 pump in minutes, no tools except Teflon Pipe Thread tape as advised. Initial trial run was great! No leaks at joint, Aquascape Signature Series Skimmer or 2" tubing.HOWEVER, when pump was off to check plumbing and Biofalls for leaks the Biofalls water level dropped 75% over a 8 hour period. Usually indicating the check valve was not preventing backflow. But I assumed we had a leak outside the main pond since the Aquascape Dual Union valve was brand spanking new. So I dug out behind the Biofalls so to inspect the bulkhead and connections. My 2' hole was dry and so were the connections. So I figured the worst, a crack some where along 75' of buried 2" tubing.Instead of inspecting the tubing we continued to clean out the 5,000 gal Koi pond for maintenance. After sump pumping the pond my wife noticed water still trickling heavily from the skimmer. The Aquascape Skimmer is brand new, so this means the new Aquascape Dual Union Check Valve had to be defective. I will return and exchange for a replacement. I will follow this review after installing the replacement next week.6/9/20 UPDATE:The replacement arrived the next day after my return request was placed!!!Before installing I did a very basic leak test. I blew into the discharge side - No pressure loss. Upon removing the defective valve I repeated this same test method - definite pressure loss. After installing the replacement I turn the AquaSurge 4000 pump on to fill the Biofalls, then shut pump off. This time there was no water level drop in Biofalls, meaning no back flow in to the pond. EXCELLENT!SUMMARY:IMO this model is very pricey, HOWEVER, it makes for the perfect fit when using brand new Aquascape AquaSurge pump and brand new Aquascape Skimmer. No guess work, fittings and connectors match perfectly for a complete new Aquascape upgrade.IF you are perhaps using different brand pumps and/or skimmers it may be best to use a more simpler Check Valve assembly to give you more adaptability for your particular installation. If this unit fails I will again update my review accordingly.

Very High Quality
What can I say? This is a high quality product manufactured by Aquascape. It does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Good replacement check valve
This product is a good replacement. It works perfectly. I did have to cut off the old flange and glue the new one onto the flexible PVC pipe, because the outflow side of the new valve did not fit the existing pipe. This only took a couple of minutes; no problem.

Seems to do it’s job
It is fairly large. So measure before you purchase it may not fit your basin. It really needs a few other adapters for where it attaches to the pump. Otherwise solid product

Works great!
I very much appreciated the clear directions as I had never set up a pump system for a pond. This went together easily & attached to my pump perfectly. My pond is on it’s way to being very healthy again.

Easy DIY replacement.
I have an older pump and this came with the necessary parts to modify the connections to fit the new valve. Good instructions and reasonable price.

IMO - 100% Avoid Aquascape products
My experience with Aquascape products and the company has been nothing short of a nightmare. I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I advise everyone to stay far, far away from this brand. From the low-value products to their abysmal customer service, dealing with Aquascape has been a colossal waste of time and money.Adding insult to injury, their customer service is nothing short of a joke. When I attempted to contact them about the products I received, I was met with an infuriating run-around. It seemed like nobody knew what was happening, and they couldn't provide any reasonable solutions to rectify the situation. Their lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction was utterly shocking. In an industry where customer satisfaction should be a top priority, Aquascape appears to be more interested in making a quick buck than in providing quality products and services. My unfortunate experience with this company has left me with a sour taste in my mouth and a firm resolution never to support them again.I highly recommend looking elsewhere for aquatic products and services. There are plenty of other reputable companies out there that genuinely care about their customers and deliver top-notch products. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by steering clear of Aquascape.I wholeheartedly suggest a 100% avoidance of Aquascape products and the company itself. Don't waste your money on their low-value products, and definitely don't bother hoping for any semblance of helpful customer service. Choose wisely and invest your money in a brand that values its customers and delivers on its promises.

Great purchase
After 20 years of pond keeping I finally decided to get one of these for my pump. It works pretty slick! I wish I had used one years earlier.
