Cheap "foil" attached to cheap fiberglass tape.
The stuff is trash, I was hoping for a good edge sealing tape for under hood/car heat shielding and a simple add on to protect wires and lines as a "just in case" (This or any like it is not a alternative for proper wire/hose shielding with an air gap). Looks great, easy to install, but once its installed now you are stuck with it and cant return it! The "aluminum" or "reflective coating" or whatever you want to call it is almost silver spray paint thick and just as durable, every bend over a edge is worn off from normal underhood exposure. The adhesive has no long term holding, almost all the edges are lifting even after the panels being wiped with acetone/zylene first. You would have better luck with 3M aluminum ducting tape, at least I know that stuff works.

Perfect if your bulbs are melting your housing
Used this inside my tail lights because the running lights were literally melting and cracking the housing around it. It was very easy to use. Because its so rigid I was able to cut it to shape and get it into the housing without it folding weird or sticking where it wasn't supposed to. Should somewhat help with overall reflection/light output as well as retain heat so for my application its perfect

Reduced intake temps by 10 degrees in 90 plus weather
The initial application on my CAI plastic tube was amazing. After the first heating cycle, it started to coming off. I ended up augmenting the tape with some mechanics wire to keep it in place.Side note, I did prepare the tube by completely degreasing and removing any burrs/casing lines from the surfaces.

Great Tape
I went to other car parts stores looking for this kind of tape. I installed a generator exhaust extension in my shed, so I needed to make sure that I was able to keep the heat away from flammable items. This tape is great, cheaper, and is strong and stick nicely to all surfaces. I have only ran the generator for a few, so I don't know how is going to do when is put to heat for long periods of time. Time will tell.

It's been a year
And this tape is still sticking and looking just as good when it was applied. I used to seal seams on aluminized fiberglass insulation on transmission cooler lines running very close to long tube headers on a V8. Works better than anticipated

Effective heat barier
My exhaust was melting my turn signals and I used this to cover the back side of the plastic signal housing. It reflected enough heat off the signal to prevent any more melting. Sticks well and works pretty good as a heat shield.

Good quality
This stuff works well and looks clean. The adhesive is pretty good for the amount of heat it gets exposed to. I use it mostly for brake fluid reservoirs. No more boiling or squishy pedals.
