Super helpful book!

I love this book. My dream is to renovate a van and this book give you expertise in learning how to design, add in functionality and even do basic electrics. Obviously you want someone to look it over but this is THE book if you want to save a lot of money on your diy build. Good luck and happy trails!!

Book arrived in a timely fashion, however the thin plastic shipping bag allowed for damage on the corners of the otherwise new book, hard cover version. The book gives a good overview of information on all the topics related to surviving and thriving in van life. Many comparison charts on various topics gives a much clearer picture of the possible costs involved in builds for a variety of homes with wheels. As always, I skim a new book, then dive in for real. I'm only through chapter 2 and enjoying every page.

This, though old (but updated) was recommended to me by someone who builds out vans. It is aimed a little more towards someone who has not chosen what type of van build they want to do, but is very thorough on showing options. Great coverage of each aspect from insulation to electrical and heat. Seems a little more aimed towards higher budget transit builds than working van types.

This book has a lot of information and ideas. However too many charts and unneeded filler.My husband appreciated the book!

This book has so much information and goes into great detail. I’m super happy with this purchase and can’t wait to see what I can get accomplished with it !

If you're in the United States, note that price approximations are given in pounds, not dollars, as this book is from the UK, and the vehicles used as examples in some cases differ from what's available in the US. However, the descriptions of the various projects and ideas are just as good no matter where you live. Many people who read this, including me, will probably never be able to own a van like this, but it's still fun to read and imagine.

Never saw it because I sent it as a birthday gift. He got it and liked it.

A lot of info in a beautiful high quality book.

The authors have clearly put a huge amount of thought into this and the result is excellent. We have been planning a conversion for ages so I decided to take this on holiday and read it from cover to cover. It has removed all my excuses so it’s time to start looking for a base van. I’m an experienced DIYer but still found the clear explanations of fixings, etc, useful. I wish I’d had something similar before doing my holiday cottage conversions! Many thanks!
