This hoop did its job. I managed to weld it on my cx500 cafe racer. This mod is not easy but well worth it. Seat came out great. It's a little pricey for a steel tube, but good luck finding one in your hardware store or making one. I took a star off because of the price.

Slugs won’t fit without filing due to metal burs.

Didn't fit my frame, about 1/2" too wide...didn't use it. Wasn't gonna crimp the curve by trying to make it fit, welded some brackets to hold the seat instead

I bought this year hoop for a 1978 Yamaha xs750. This is my first motorcycle build and I was very happy with this hoop! My welds needed a little grinding but that's on me haha. When I was deciding on a hoop I chose this one for the two day shipping and it got to me in time. I noticed in some of the other reviews people where having troubles with the way this hoop is bent. The hoop I received was not lining up perfectly with the frame so the trick I used was to loop a ratched strap around the hoop and tightened it so it held perfect while I tacked it. I also like that this hoop came with to slugs to help fit and weld it. At first the slugs didn't fit in the frame tubes so what I ended up doing was grinding four slots in the slug and with a gentle hammer tap they went right into place. If I get another bike to build I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

It's a bent pipe. Not much to say, really. Those that gave bad reviews, I'm not sure why. There was no logo anywhere that I can see (even if there was, I would have just grinded it off). It's not a perfect fit for the frame (CB750K) out of the box, the ends will need to bent in slightly. It's called fabrication. Things like that are going to happen when you fabricate anything. If you want a bent pipe, buy this one.

Does not fit CB550. Seat frame from outside to outside is about 9inches which is 230mm.Description, title, and picture states hoop width from outside to outside is 230mm. It is more like 9.5inches or 240mm!Buyer beware!

Building a custom brat motorcycle and this hoop did the trick. Make sure you measure beforehand to ensure you are ordering the appropriate size for your bike. Welded right up and looks great.

Looks nice however didn't fit like I expected. I thought I could slide into frame however it does need to be welded. It was also too wide, but if it would of fit out of the box id give it 5 stars.

Convenient part, arch wasn't a true 180 needed to be bent further. Inner seam left in pipe, the inserts would not go in with out diegrinding it out. Haven't welded it yet but it looks like an alloy, concerned it might not like the mig welder. mig welder had no problems welding it. Over all way better of a look then I could have achieved on my own.

Decent product but radius was too big. Side to side was 3/4" to wide. Really needed to work it with tension and heat to make it work. Not as advertised.

The measurements were off by 1/4 inch . It took a quite alot of vise strength to get it to the right size!

Came way wider than it was suppose to be, had to use a 50 ton press to close the gap. Pretty over priced for what it is
