This kit has it all. So easy to use. Great juice with grape skins. Directions are easy to follow.

Other than the fact that this French Cab kit isn't French at all, it makes a perfectly decent red table wine. However, it is also on the weak side. Beginning specific gravity was measured in the 1.04—1.05 range, which will net a wine with an alcohol content of around 6%. For reference, 1.04—1.05 is the same gravity used in English brown ales. I added enough sugar to bring the specific gravity to 1.09, which should get me in the 10% ABV range.That doesn't seem to be a mistake, this is the second kit I've had that measures low on the specific gravity scale, which means there isn't enough juice to make 6 gallons of wine with an ABV of at least 10%. Most commercial red wines have an ABV of 13%.Again, no complaints, it's a great wine kit, but you may need to add sugar to boost the alcohol content.

Theses are great kits. I have yet to get one I didn't like.

French Cab? From Chile?. Have been making wine for years and like Chilean wine but advertising says French

While I haven't had the chance to drink it yet, it is currently fermenting beautifully in my basement. The color is a deep, rich purple, the instructions were easy to follow being my first attempt and having no real clue what to do. Still, I feel confident. And there's something satisfying about watching the degasser bubble.Edit: just finished bottling 29 bottles. Was really fun! Will do the whole thing again

This was the 2nd time we bought this! This is the Best Cab kit on the market!! We served it to guests and they could not believe we made it. It was so good, we purchased this second kit.
