Just what I needed
Fabulous product perfect for growing.

Ready made
Very good product, packaged ready to use. Quite expensive for the amount received as I've since realised the same stuff can be bought in a big block to rehydrate yourself and looks the exact same, for a fraction of the cost. If you only need a bit and can't be bothered with messing around with a dehydrated block, this is a great alternative. I mixed mine with perlite and biochar for a houseplant soil mix and it worked very well.

Plant daddy likes it moist
Got this to re-pot all my plants. I've got about 10 plants that had been in their containers that I got them in, and needed re-potting. This holds moisture really well, while being airy enough to not restrict the plant roots too much.

Overpriced premium coco coir
I have used blocks of coir compost in recent years because of their portability, compared with 50 litre sacks of peat-free compost. However, I haven't found coir to be a good medium for growing plants successfully as it has no nutrients, and it's difficult to get the watering right because it dries out too quickly at the top, while still being wet underneath. However, I was prepared to give this UK GROW's "superior quality" coco coir a go as it did sound a cut above the other coir composts on the market. I am not surprised that there are several photos on the website of hands full of compost as it does feel lovely to run your hands through. On the packet it says: " Holds nutrients well, making it easier for plants to absorb the nourishment they need." This would be useful as coco coir doesn't have any nutrients, which is why I tend to mix it with compost. It also says: "Our coco coir provides superior drainage, making it nearly impossible to waterlog your plants." Now that is quite a claim - I have been gardening for over 50 years and still manage to overwater plants at times! It's too early to know whether these claims prove to be true, but my biggest beef with this coco coir is the price. My £8.99 2-litre bag has filled just 4 x 9cm pots! Even if "this growing medium is a game-changer", as claimed on the packet, it would need to be available in much larger quantities - and a sensible price - if I were to consider further purchases.

Only a small amount here
Quality-wise, this coco coir seems pretty good and is just the job for me to mix with my compost. The biggest downside is the amount you receive. You get a 2L bag which in reality is quite a small bag and if you were using this solely, it is unlikely to last you very long. I've only used a small amount so far but I think there are less expensive options out there, although I cannot comment on what the quality difference (if any) would be.

Ridiculously High Price!
I didn’t realise it was such a tiny bag - my fault not reading properly so I bought a 50l bag from somewhere else same quality but better value!
