Ideal for my application
I bought this extremely lightweight headset (0.6 oz = 17g) for use in recording string musicians giving demonstrations that involve playing and talking about what they play. Conventional "boom"-style headsets get in the way of a violinist, violist, or cellist; lavalier clip-ons are insufficiently directional. These double-earhook headsets fit securely, and with the microphone nestled just below the musician's left ear, they pick up the voice well without being overwhelmed by the nearby stringed instrument. The musicians were barely aware that they were wearing them.Although it is not easy to see in the photo, the microphone is mounted on a movable slim wire that parallels the headset's frame and can be adjusted to change how far the microphone projects. It is designed to lie quite close to the head and ear, not to be positioned near the mouth. I locate the microphone just below the earlobe so that it is not touching the musician's cheek. This produces quite good results: clear signal with good rejection of sound other than the musician's voice. These headsets have a long cord (approximately 55" = 140cm), which gives extra flexibility in locating the body pack to which they connect. For example, it is possible to attach the body pack to back of the chair in which the musician sits and there is enough slack in the cord to permit them to stand and bow without encumbrance.I used these with the G-787 wireless system body packs. GTD Audio, the manufacturer, warns that the pin configurations on this systems may not match that of other systems that use similar (TA-3) connectors, so they may not work with other manufacturers' body packs. If, however, you are using a GTD Audio system for which these headsets are spec'ed to work, I can enthusiastically recommend them.

Amazing Performance for a headset microphone
The media could not be loaded. I was absolutely amazed at the performance of this microphone at this price point. I bought these for speaking but ended up using them for a solo vocal performance in our end of the year jazz choir show. The performer played a guitar while singing a solo. She loved the freedom of the GTD Audio 787 body pack and this headset microphone. After testing it in practice and being overwhelmed at its performance, we used it in the show.I recorded the performance. This microphone was outstanding in my opinion. We just could not be more pleased. It delivers at a price point that is unbelievable. We do not need more expensive microphones. I firmly believe you get much more than what you pay for with the GTD Audio 787 and this headset microphone.Buy them.I do not believe you will be disappointed.I posted a video review here on amazon of the performance using this microphone and also several other audio recordings on my YouTube channel of the live performance emphasizing other sound equipment bought for our show. Here is the link:THEmlcollum -https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM91YH0lZrrTgFfd_BQ2h0gPut on a good set of headphones and listen for yourself. Hearing is believing!! I believe you will be equally impressed.

Pretty good sound
The mic comes about half way to the cheek, Good part about that is it avoids the breath from the noise, but the bad part is the audio is a little tinny, Overall it worked good and i will use it again this week. I certainly liked it better than the black headset mic that wraps all the way around to the mouth, that picks up too much breathing noise.

Good Head Mic
Works OK, but somewhat fragile.

Works well when no movement
It works well but the mic wire connection is very fragile. Bought two of them and had to return one of them for an exchange in the first week because it was constantly losing contact and breaking. I wanted to return them, but my pastor loved it for its comfort and slim line. It doesn't fare well worn under a woman's long hair.

Great Microphone, works with other systems if modified.
Great microphone. The product description says it only works with GTD system, but with a bit of micro-surgery (soldering) to change the wiring on the mini xlr plug, it works well with other systems such as AKG, Sampson, etc. Headset has two wires, xlr connector has three pins with no connection to one of them. To modify for another system, carefully disassemble the xlr connector, even more carefully switch the two wires in the xlr connector and add a jumper between pin which now has a white wire and the empty pin. Careful - the pins are fragile and break off easily.

Seems to be a good headset. Need to be more specific as to type of connection to the power source (3 pin or 1 pin)
