HFL200 Closed Hole C Flute Plated Body, U.S Pads with Case and Cleaning Rod, Silver

I ordered this flute in "used-good" condition for a ridiculously low price. (under $30) I figured the case alone was worth the price. The flute said it had been inspected before shipment, and that may have been true. I could definitely tell the instrument was used, but could find no dents, only very light scratches visible with my glasses. When I tried a scale on the first try, no problems. Then my C# key wouldn't stay open. A likely popped spring. I YouTubed the problem and my husband put it in place with pliers. Now the flute is perfect.This looks to me like a high quality flute. The keys are smooth and they are not kidding about the ergonomic design for little hands. Very easy to play. Has a split e key to boot. Beautiful silver plating. The case is has buckle latches and a handle - no shoulder strap. It came with a plastic cleaning tool, but nothing else. I am really impressed with this instrument. I gave 3 stars because it was defective when shipped. I think this instrument is a worthwhile buy at full price. An outstanding student flute. I hope the spring fix lasts for a time. I may end up donating this instrument to a grandchild, or another young musician in the future.

Looks like used and it does not make high notes well.
