Update 1 Sep 21:I’ve purchased MKV GTI intercooler hoses in an attempt to see if this will work. Others on here with MKV GTIs have said that trimming the hoses a bit works for them, it still seems like the intercooler inlet/outlet are just too small for a secure push-on fit before even tightening the clamps. Going to knock off a couple stars due to the incompatibility with hoses from “compatible” models. Unfortunate… I will eventually just sell this one and spend the money on Forge IC or something.Installed this in my Golf R. Overall, it works well, but the R’s factory hoses are slightly too large in diameter. I’m not confident the seal is as good as it could be even when the clamps are tightened all the way, but it has held up well even under sustained boost thus far.

I really liked it, better than stock core thickness and full metal. I just wasn't able to install it. Not for a lack of quality, but a lack of technical skills.

The intercooler is fine, the fitment was good, no need to modify anything for my MK5 TDI 2010. The quality is ok for the price and it does the job. Is a upgrade for GTI/GLI MK5 and MK6 and TDI. For the TDI i had to fabricate the piping in aluminum because the OEM hoses can't be modified to fit this intercooler or the OEM S3. So if anyone reading this have a MK5 or MK6 TDI will have to make custom hoses for the intercooler or make the piping.

It's a nice size part for sure. However it arrive like Ace ventura was working. Dents and bends on fins. But will install and see if it holds boost

I knocked it down a star because the inside had casting flash - requiring me to get creative in how to clean it. What I did was use sand/water and shake it vigorously; then an electric leaf blower to dry it out. It's been installed for about 4 months without issue.

Bought this a while back. It arrived with a small dent but it wasnt bad at all. Fit right into my MKV Gti. One problem i had was the mounting screws on the radiator. Just replaced the sheet metal screws with metric bolts and I was all set. This intercooler is thicker than stock so it set the radiator and fan shroud back into the motor but it clears. Great product, easy install.

Looks great! Fit like factory into 2012 VW GTI. The screw for the condenser doesn't fit, because the intercooler is thicker than stock, but the bracket still screws to the front. Great fit

The only thing that wasn't a perfect drop in was the screws that hold both the radiator and a/c condenser to the intercooler were a metric machine screws and my car used the coarse thread screws.
