This works great on the high speed.
I got this to be able to sand the ceilingAnd walls at my daughter's new 2100 Sq. ft. house used it on about ½ of the ceiling and every wall. This is easy to use and can be put together fast ,no tools needed, it catches 95% of the dust and the led light on it makes it easy to find the areas that need to be touched up.The best part is that to clean out the dust bag all you have to do is pull out the hose from the tool handle and use your shop vacuum to the hose, the catch bag does come with a opening where you could clean it out but it makes a big mess. The only thing that doesn't work well is if you turn the speed down, if you do the speed control will over heat and the unit will shut off.,but once it cools off it will come back on .All in all it is well built and worth the money.

Great budget sander.
I refinished our whole livingroom with this machine, the vacuum bag it comes with only sucks 50% of the dust, i attached it to my shop vac with a heppa bag and it collected about 90% .This along with some zipper doors kept the dust in our house to a minimum. It is a bit on the heavy side and requires some pressure to contact the sandpaper, be prepared for a shoulder workout.Great buy for $100

Works great, needs a few things to make it great.
I’m not one to write many reviews. However, I absolutely loathe sanding joint compound. All my sanding is typically fixing settling cracks, nail pops, and poor repairs from previous owners. I bought this solely for the speed and dust collection. Well the speed was there, but dust collection was not. Here’s my list of how to make this a fantastic tool when in use.1. buy a step down adapter for your shop vac.2. Disconnect the bag, and replace with hose adapter that it comes with3. Connect to shop vac4. Set the vacuum speed on the unit to the highest setting5. DO NOT CONNECT THE SPRING6. Seriously don’t connect the head fixing spring, you will fight it while working and it with bounce on you and cause dust to fly everywhere because you’ll lose that flat to the ceiling hold you have on it and you’ll hit at an angle and create gouges.7. Use speed 1 for sanding speed, and use 180 grit discs.8. Build up your upper body, this thing gets heavy and you’ll feel it quickly. On a serious note, the only downsides to this is the weight, and the blower. I would recommend removing the blower for the dust collection and make this a “use it with your shop vac” tool. It’ll save weight, and reduce cost. I’m very pleased with the outcome of the sanding it did once I figured out what was causing the problems. I’d recommend it to my friends. I’ve done my share of renovations and repairs and the mess of sanding has always been awful. This was great seeing my air filters reporting little to no change in particles in the air. I still wear a mask however because it’s important.

Saved a Lot of time using
Works like a charm, saved me a lot of time. A little heavy using over your head but walls are easy. Comes with all needed to do a couple rooms, the easy dump bag works great and the LED lites make it easy to see any bad areas in a dark lite room.

Rookie drywall finisher took the bait.
Last thing I needed was a bunch of dust going everywhere so I took the reviews that this thing had thinking it was a better one and I don't know it's still it doesn't really feel very well to the wall so there is dust problems and it hops if you're not fast enough and but it does save some time on 10 ft walls at ceilings I'm working on a 1350 ft space right now there's a lot of sanding involved. I got it hooked up to a Shop-Vac the little vacuum pump on there just doesn't work as well as it probably could and the edges of the circular disc don't seal well. It's got a brush attachment to try to contain the Dust. Be careful when you buy sanding pads because the ones that were bundled with the original packaging which included their OEM pads , the holes don't match up on the sanding pad so it interferes with the vacuum flow volume. I suppose if you're desperate and you had the right tools you could overlay an original disc on top of the ones I send you as that bundle package is not pre-qualified to fit the machine , and just punch the holes so they fit the right pattern I mean if you're in a pinch. Go easy cuz you will hit paper Good luck. Maybe with some modifications you could use this thing on your concrete floor in the garage

Smoke
This item seemed great at first: great price, it sanded well, it was lightweight; six months later, everything went wrong. The item began smoking, the hose began leaking due to a hole, and the bag no longer holds waste and leaks the dust, and overheats. Maybe this one is defective--but since it was bought six months ago Amazon sent me to the manufacturer who promised to contact me within 48 hours--8 days later---still no response.

Must have for drywall projects
I hesitated buying a drywall sander at this price point for a good while. Finally pulled the trigger, but in the back of my mind thinking it would be a cheap, poorly engineered tool that would be returned a day after purchase. Wow was I wrong! I'm totally happy with this machine because it does everything you would expect it to do. The vacuum is created by the motor that turns the sanding disk and does a very effective job of moving the dust to the bag instead of throughout the home. It has a variable speed motor that turns the sandpaper without bogging, even with 60 grit. The led lighting around the circumference of the disk platform helps out tremendously with seeing areas that still need to be sanded. Can't forget to mention the pole extension built into the handle, it allows you to reach just about any ceiling. When your done, cleanup is a breeze. The hose and bag are detachable and the sanding pole folds in half. What a tool!!!
