HDMI to AV CVBS S-video Converter Adapter Composite Multimedia Interface1080P Video Converter Box for HDTV with AV Svideo Cable

It took me 3 tries and 3 different items before I found this one, and thank goodness I did! I have an old box TV that has no HDMI capabilities; it does have SVideo and AV capabilities. I am obsessed with the firestick and I use it as my own personal home gym as I connect to youtube via firestick and the abundance of free exercise videos on youtube. With this purchase I was able to put my old TV to use, put it in my home gym room, and exercise away via youtube on Firestick. So happy that I'm able to use my firestick on my old box TV. It's saved me tons of money on a gym membership and now I have no excuse not to go to the gym (as it's in my house).

The picture quality seems to be a bit worse than standard video input and it's a little darker, but it converts pretty well.

Bad product. S video connector is female. So is the one on my tv. Had to buy a male-male cable.Separate usb power source is needed.Picture on TV was extremely fuzzy. It made no difference if s video cable was plugged in or not.Whole thing is now in the trash.

This might be good if one didn't have to scroll, search, flip chsnnels for something decent to eatch, OR didn't need a cable code to watch some channels. Something as simple as watching TV has gotten too complicated for me so I don't watch.

It just doesn't work. I've tried both the Svideo inputs and the RCA. Either input is corrupt and delivers a fuzzy screen. Attaching the HDMI cable input to a different TV with and HDMI input works fine. Problem is definitely with the converter. Regretably Amazon tells me I'm too late to return!
