Great item
Initial impressions are great. Filled it up, and fought with it for like a minute to get it to turn on, once on it was hot enough to use within about 30 seconds. When I wasn’t immediately using it I kept it on 1 and would turn it up as I went to use it. Worked great, and I have no day one complaints.Manufacturer claims 100 minutes on a full tank on medium, I highly doubt that as I managed to get about 30 minutes of actual use, but that doesn’t count negative on the unit in my opinion.Don’t let the low reviews fool you, this is one great piece.

Worth the price
Was what I expected, I am a mechanic and have a blue point by snap on at work, pretty much the same setup and this one works just as well.

I'm really thrilled with this thing!
I can't say enough about it! I've been a tech for 30+ years and I have owned many soldering irons. I tend to solder most on my boat. I've found out the hard way that crimp on connectors only hold up about a year before they get corroded on a boat. I got tired of re-building my electrical panel every spring to get my running lights going. I decided spending a little extra time to solder every connection is well worth the effort. I really don't have electrical issues since I started doing that...just keep battery terminals clean and all my soldered connections will last the life of the boat. I've owned several soldering irons and I like the butane ones because they are so awesome for camping or boating. My last two were very nice ones, but this one beats anything I have had. It's kinda tricky because it has a lot of safety switches and stuff so it takes a little time getting to know how it works, but it is awesome! You can take the tip off with your needle nose pliers and use it as a hot air blower.... and it's really a little blast furnace for heat shrink or de-icing frozen locks and stuff. Fat chance of that here in Texas, but it would be great. You can also take the whole solder assembly off and put the exhaust tube back on without it for use as a torch. It's ten times better than any of those nice butane lighter/torches. You could almost solder that 1/4 in copper pipe...I'll bet you could, actually! It's a nice healthy flame. Comes with tips you can use for all kinds of things. The box says you can weld jewelry (I'd love to try that!) , there's a hot knife attachment for cutting plastics(don't breath plastic smoke, it's poisonous...use a big fan)...and there are some finer tips you could probably use for wood burning. Arts and craft stores also sell plastic sheets and a zillion designs that you can melt holes in to make templates for painting and such. You could make a logo for your favorite team and spray paint it on your cooler! I love this thing, it has a hundred uses and it's well made!

I'd look elsewhere but it does get the job done.
I bought this to replace my MAC soldering iron that I bought when I was a young apprentice, ~2003. The MAC was a highly valuable tool to me and it lasted ~15 years with little maintenance other than filling with gas. This tool is a tinky POS but it gets the job done. It's not very substantial and it seems to leak butane now that I've had it sitting in my drawer for a while. I'm going to be on the market for a new one before too long. Big difference in price between this and the MAC but I'll probably just bite the bullet and go for the superior tool next time.

This thing is useless, you cannot fill it
This thing is useless, you cannot fill it, it fills in all of 2 seconds and starts spitting butane all over you, then the flame is constantly spluttering until it finally calms down after which you have maybe 10 minutes of gas in it. Its totally useless. 100 minutes of gas, it has to be a misprint, realistically you get 10 minutes. It does get hot very quickly so if your quick and only have a small job to do, you can get buy, but not good for me. My only regret (other than purchasing it) is that I never got a chance to use it too much and discover all these problems before my Amazon return window closed, now I'm stuck with this garbage.

Works great
I love this soldering iron. I work in a industrial setting that requires me to do soldering from time to time. It’s makes my job easy because of the portability.

Perfomance of this product has been great for the time I have used it.
I have only used this product a few times but it seems to be of high quality and design. It's easy to use. Instructions don't tell you to take the entire end off when using the torch flame. For every use but the flame , the fuel just smolders in the burner part that has some sort of a grid in it for the fuel to basically evaporate at a high temperature. There is a switch that puts out the flame if the 'grid burner' is left on for anything but the flame torch use. In other words you don't want the burner part to have a flame in it and the burner has to come off to use it as a torch or it will ruin the burner grid.
