Let me begin by saying that this low cost inspection camera works fine for my needs. I'm using it to help me snake wires inside walls. But even though it works I only gave four stars because the software installation had some issues. Here's some comments about it.If you intend to use the camera on an Android device then be forewarned that the ScopeCam app is NOT available on Google Play. Yes, the instructions say to get it from Google Play, but it's not there. Scanning the QR code they provide is a dead end too.My solution was to put the provided mini CD in my PC and copy the scopecam-V1.3.apk file (in the CD's "OTG Endoscope" directory) onto a memory card. Next I put the memory card in my Android phone. Using the phone's File app I located the file, clicked it, which proceeded to install it. Now the app was installed on my phone. I plugged in the camera, launched the app, and was greeted with a color image from the camera.I also tried to install it on my Amazon Fire HD 8. But launching the app causes the Fire HD to crash / reboot. Too bad, the bigger screen would have been nice.Lastly, I installed it on my old Acer Notepad that runs WinXP. I copied the CD Rom's "USB Endoscope" directory onto a USB memory stick, then put the USB memory stick into my notebook. Then I launched the SmartCamera.exe program and got a good image from the camera. This program does not need to be installed; That is to say, it is self contained and runs directly from the file.The camera's image quality is reasonably good but focal depth is somewhat limited. The cable is semi-flexible (it is stiff enough to be pushed into wall cavities). The LED lights have adjustable intensity using a thumb wheel knob on the little brick that is close to the USB connector. The USB plug is a clever design -- it looks and works like a common USB type A male plug. But you can flip over a metal cover and it becomes a micro size USB (works with OTG too). This is an outstanding device. I use it with my Moto 5G Plus. The picture is clear with a good field of view. I had a Rigid SeeSnake I used in my electrical business. The camera probe failed twice on that unit. Each time a new part was about $80.00. I found this on Amazon while looking for parts for the SeeSnake. Glad I did, cheap and works well. I could not find an app on Google Play Store named "scopecam" and scanning the QR code was useless. I downloaded "Endoscope" and that works well.

Absolutely terrible image. I don't know if mine was damaged/defective, but everything is too blurry to make out an image. I have an older one that is very similar to this one; It doesn't have the built in micro-usb adapter, but the picture from that one is a lot better for the same price.

I got this camera as a gift to my husband, he loves to fix cars and he mentioned before this kind of camera is very useful. Looked like he likes it coz I saw him use it right away and he said it is very easy to use! I guess that was a good buy for me....

I like this USB Endoscope Camera. The materials are durable and the quality is good. I can easily use the two USB it has to port a computer or cellphone. This is a perfect tool for my garage and sewer diagnosis.
