This is a beautiful book and a complete guide. It has 142 pages, lots of wonderful color pictures, and chapters covering history of the bird, introducing a budgie to your household, breeding, feeding, and dealing with illnesses. I enjoyed reading it so much, and it answered my questions and helped me feel well prepared for caring for my new budgie.

i thot that the book would have steps to taming your bird but it doesntit only says be patient and gentle. i was disappointed. but i did learn something new when i first opened the book. it was also cool how the two birds on the cover look just ike my two birds. i wish the taming part would have more info. the pictures are very helpful tho. so overall good book

This book was not what i expected it to be. It has some important tips on how to take care of parakeets, but most are out of date and as well as false. I would recommend this book to a beginner but not an expert.

I have parakeets that starting breeding this year and was interested in what special care may be needed for the babies. I'm just a hobbyist, but found it informative
