AKG Pro Audio Microphone
AKG Pro Audio P5i: A Powerful and User-Friendly Vocal MicrophoneThe AKG Pro Audio P5i Dynamic Vocal Microphone lives up to its reputation as a high-performance microphone for singers. Here's what impressed me the most:Superb Sound Quality: The P5i delivers powerful, clear vocals that cut through the mix. Whether you're a lead singer or a backup vocalist, this mic ensures your voice will be heard with richness and clarity.Excellent Noise Rejection: The supercardioid polar pattern does a fantastic job of minimizing background noise. This is especially beneficial for live performances on loud stages, where stage noise or enthusiastic crowds can sometimes get in the way of a clear vocal sound.Effortless Setup (with Harman Connected PA): If you're using a PA system compatible with Harman Connected PA, setting up the P5i is a breeze. The microphone automatically configures itself, saving you valuable time and ensuring you get optimal audio quality right out of the box.Built to Last: The P5i's heavy-duty metal body feels incredibly sturdy and reliable. It can withstand the bumps and jostles that come with regular use, giving you peace of mind on stage.Integrated Windscreen: The built-in windscreen effectively eliminates plosive sounds (excessive "p" and "b" sounds) and wind noise, ensuring a clean and professional-sounding vocal track.User-Friendly Design: The P5i is lightweight and comfortable to hold for extended singing sessions. Whether you're a seasoned performer or just starting, this microphone won't tire your arms out during long gigs.Overall:The AKG Pro Audio P5i is an excellent choice for vocalists of all levels. It delivers exceptional sound quality, effective noise rejection, and a user-friendly design that makes it a pleasure to use. The automatic configuration with Harman Connected PA systems is a big plus for added convenience. While the price might be a consideration, the P5i offers exceptional value for the features and sound quality it delivers. If you're looking for a microphone that will help you deliver powerful and clear vocals on stage or in the studio, the AKG Pro Audio P5i is definitely worth considering.

Good quality microphone
Good quality for the price, clean sound. Only real thing is that all the markings wore off on my unit after about a week, but it's cosmetic only & doesn't impact it. Clarity is great, better that of some pricier options.

Another excellent AKG microphone
I've had excellent results using AKG vocal microphones (including the D-5) for recording acoustic instruments (specifically, trumpets and saxophones) during live jazz performances. The P5i bandwidth, 40 to 20,000 Hz, captures all the high end you'll ever need, and the sound pressure levels are more than adequate. The supercardioid pattern provides great off-axis rejection so that the instruments are better (though by no means perfectly) isolated from one another when brought into a mixdown. Compare the specs on the AKG site with $1,000 microphones. Professional build-quality makes them a great bang-for-the-buck.

Great mic for podcasting
Great mics for podcasting. We were using 3 Yetis and a RODE NT1 for almost a year. The audio was usually reliable, but it didn't work for our room acoustics, we were always either blowing out the mics or not getting picked up during certain character voices. Those days are DONE.The waveforms are clean. Will definitely buy again.... i'll probably have to if we have guest players...No regrets.

Great sidekick to my SM58
Mic sounds great. Brilliant sounding( bright) without being harsh. A good compliment to my sm58 which is noticeably darker ( Which I love as well). The only problem I have with the P5i is the handling noise but then again I use these mics in the studio for vocals, not live. Price is right and the microphone sounds updated.
