If you like to learn, get experience, and need excuse to swear a bit; Great device for cost
Long story short, from what I understand (as of April 2019) Samsung SmartThings hub/app will not see the device UNLESS a device handler (code for bulb to work with hub) is added through smartthings IDE on internet. I searched the internet, got the code, added as device handler, and iOS app found the device and it works for me.I should emphasize though the device handler is code not written, at this time, by Samsung (written by fellow users) and is not fully supported by Samsung so it COULD be the reason that people are experiencing dropouts/communication issues. I have not had issues with mine once it was setup and it has been working fine for months.If you like to experiment/learn and the sensor is not being used for mission critical stuff, this is a great temperature and humidity sensor considering the cost.

Awesome Value ... for an hour .. then they go to sleep and need re-pairing
So the only reason to get one of these is because it's dirt cheap .... if you buy it direct from China ... and then it takes about a month to come. If you get this off Amazon, you're paying for saved time. I'm impatient and needed a few more of these so I pulled the trigger and paid 3x as much. I use these with my Smartthings Hub, they are Zigbee. So let me tell you about that. Briefly: It's a bad idea. They are a pain in the butt to pair, they need customer device handlers - I can handle that. So far though, 9 out of 10 can't stay online for more than an hour or two. After that you have to go repair them. They go to sleep after about an hour and usually they don't wake up. That's a royal pain and basically makes them useless,.If you want a Xiaomi Thermometer/Hygrometer then go one model up from this one and get the Aqara which stays paired better. I'm not saying it's going to be anywhere near perfect, but it will be better than useless which is what these are with a smartthings hub. I actually ordered a Xiaomi hub to try and salvage by collection of these baby hockey pucks and it happens with that hub also.
