100 x 5/8" ID 13mm Thick 6 Ft Standard Nitrile Rubber Pipe Insulation R1.95 Water Resistant

I used this stuff to cover the circular pipe bases of a recliner and ottoman, which had lost their original rubber feet. The insulation seems rugged enough to last, it matches the black color of the chair, and it raises it off the floor to avoid scratching. I did have to slice it open to put it over the tubing, but this was easy with a utility knife.

If you are looking for pipe insulation to make your own RV waterhose insulated pipe and heater element, this is the BEST insulation part to get. Its thick enough to withstand harsh outdoor environment, flexible enough to still roll-up with the hose and element inside, and the diameter is large enough to get the hose end through without damaging the insulation. I recommend Velcro straps at each end of the 6' segments, and as many segments as you need for the length of your hose.

this isn't rubber in the normal sense, it is a very dense and flexible foam, soft, with an ~1mm rubber outer circumference. but it is obviously well-made. i bought it to protect a garden hose running across a private driveway. i'm giving it 5 stars because after looking it up, i think it is what it is advertised to be. just be aware that, apparently, nitrile rubber is a different thing entirely than normal rubber, i.e., it is not like the rubber a tire is made of. it is a very dense, plush, soft foam rubber that has a thin, flexible tire-type-of-rubber backing. best to understand this and wrap your mind around it before you buy it so you won't be surprized or disappointed when it arrives and it isn't what you expected it to be like what happened to me.

I used this to replace protective cushioning on trampoline surround. Fit like a glove. Slipped over pipe without slop or resistance. Don’t know how but it fit perfect.
