This works, but not really what I expected
Just to be clear. This floor is plastic. Entirely plastic. I expected the product to be plastic with an oak veneer - similar to prefab flooring, but it is all plastic. There is no wood here. Since I ordered the floor to practice tap, the sounds are a little bit weird on a plastic surface. I hope the floor doesn't damage my beloved Jason Samuel Smith tap shoes.A few pieces arrived with broken connectors, but I was able to just leave out a piece a make a different sized square, so the broken connectors are in places where they won't move around. Relatively easy to put together, but I needed a rubber mallet and work gloves.Floor arrived about a week after ordering which I think is within the window it was promised.

I bought this based on all the good reviews. My daughter is 4ft 2 inches and weighs 51 pounds and within a week she chipped an edge of the flooring. It is not tight nit so it is easy to catch your foot on an edge which is how it got chipped. Her teacher would not even consider trying the floor when she saw how easy it chipped.

Beautiful Floor
I love the dance floor. The portability makes it perfect for living in a rental however it is really flexibly on carpet. I recommend putting plywood under it so you don’t get caught on the corners when they flex down. The laminate top does seem like it will peel off pretty easily so be careful when taking the squares apart.

Would be great if not DAMAGED/INCOMPLETE
One of the border pieces was missing. Also one of the tiles has a significant chip in it. Unfortunately this was a Christmas gift for my daughter so we didn't open the box until Christmas Eve. The defects don't affect her ability to tap dance on the floor; however, I would like it to look nice in our finished basement and the missing piece is annoying to look at, as well as the chip in the tile. Quality control of their product would go a long way. It would be great if it came undamaged and complete.

Fits my needs
I bought this as a tap dancing practice floor. I have it on top of a carpet in a spare bedroom and it works for what I need. I only got one of the 3 by 3 squares and more space would be nice but of the limited space I have it works for practicing non-moving steps. For the price I believe it is a good floor and worth the money spent. I was a little challenging to get together so the black edging can be put on, the first time I had it together I didn't have the "correct configuration so that the edging pieces would all fit properly. So I have to figure it out by putting the edging together first and then fitting the pieces in properly, luckily I like doing puzzles, directions and having the pieces marked would have been nice. If I ever take it apart I will definitely mark the pieces so I can quickly get it back together. I did it with bare hands but gloves probably would have made it a bit more comfortable. All in all I'm happy with the floor.

I bought this for using as a dance floor over my carpeted floor. Some reviews and answers mentioned they work well. Unfortunately for me, the base of these tiles did not work very well. It was quite sharp and dug deep into the carpet. I'm afraid it would spoil the carpet, I could see it happening even in the first use. I wish the base was rubber-based or something. I'm trying to see if any hacks would make it work. The floor quality is decent but not very carpet-friendly!

Great quality!
I bought several boxes of these. They are nice, good quality. I am using them in my basement because the basement has carpeting and I wanted to be able to glide easily when I use my XBOX 360 to play dancing games. These did the trick and hold up well for all the wear and tear I could potentially be putting on them with gliding and dancing on them! The only drawback is that they are a tad bit expensive if you want to do a large area. I had to keep ordering more when I saw the small area they were covering each time. Definitely measure well and calculate before you decide to invest in these!

Terrible Product
I got this flooring for tap dancing. After getting it, I tried to set it up. It doesn't come with any instructions so by trial and error, I was able to finally get it together but in the process of trying to disconnect some of the interlocking pads, I cut my arm. It's not easy. This is definitely not portable which I thought it would be. But more importantly, I would not get this product unless you are absolutely sure you want it. YOU PAY FOR SHIPPING BACK and it weighs 26 lbs. SO BUYER BEWARE. Oh and did I not mention that when I went to use my tap shoes on it, they sounded like muffled and muted taps. I couldn't hear a thing. This is NOT a good product and they really should not be selling this on Amazon. Now I'm out $60 and I've got NOTHING to show for it. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
