I really didn’t think they would last this long but they have. They’ve survived rain, snow, ice, storms and extreme heat. I’ve added more to my cart to take back to our home in Central America next month and hopefully those will last just as long. I’ll update my review when THIS set finally does die to give an idea of how long they can be used every night. So far they seem to be going strong! Very fun and enjoyable to look at! This purchase came with two sets. I tested both but only hung one set but will hang the other set tomorrow. Both lit up after spending the day outside soaking up the sun. Turn them on and they light right up on their own as soon as it starts to get dark. There's several settings (modes) but I like the mode that mixes all of the settings. I was planning to take these with me to my home in Panama but decided to keep them here. I love the way they look on my front porch. Love them! Review: Bought over and over. Love love love - These lights are amazing! Bought them to light up our path outside. They last almost all night. They are the perfect brightness to not blind you but to easily light up a pathway. They are an amazing price too!! Only dislike is they are really hard to untangle if you aren’t careful and tangle them up but that’s more of an operator error and not a product error. Bought 3 packs because I loved them so much

Good for the price - some caveats. Probably not built to last long.
These just might be the cheapest, best, solar-powered string lights out there, if you're going for length and a subtle accent/aesthetic. They were definitely a hassle to untangle, make sure you have a friend with some patience who can do it for you. Once they're set up, press the power button on the solar panel and they will turn on. NOTE!!!! The lights will not turn on if there is light pointed at the panel, even if you have pressed the on button!!!! This took some heartache to figure out, but past that, it was smooth sailing. The solar panel is more than adequate to get several hours of light out of these. The power draw on the lights is very low, and they are near-invisible if the summer sun is up. They sparkle well at night though. I definitely wouldn't use these as a primary light source. It looks like they operate on a fiber-style principle, where each light is glued into the fiber strand. They are sensitive and if you agitate, impact, or stress the light bulb too much, it will go out. Good thing you have hundreds more. All in all, great rope to get a few uses out of, lots of nice sparkly settings, and they make a good aesthetic. I used them for camping and they were a big hit. To decorate a permanent structure, I would avoid solar power and go for something more substantial.

VERY HARD TO UNROLL, FLIMSY CONSTRUCTION, BEAUTIFUL IN USE
It would be easy to give these only one star if I had never seen them in operation. They are calling these "rope lights" in the description, a better description would be "thread lights" because they are so inexpensively built. Each "rope" is two strands of solid 24-gauge wire, the LED lights are molded on to the two wires. They are quite long, I did not measure but I have no reason to doubt the length in the description. Besides the flimsy construction the two strands come wound up in circles in a very tiny box. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL HOW YOU UNROLL THESE. One of mine was an absolute nightmare to unroll due to the way they were manufactured, I was very close to throwing the mess back in to the box and returning them. Fortunately I live on a farm so I had a nice big place to stretch the wires out and slowly try to untangle this twisted up mess. All told both strands took me almost 1.5 hours-total to unravel the strands and lay them out straight. The packaging desperately needs to be changed, these should be rolled up on something so they can be unrolled more easily without twisting and turning. After I straightened them out I carefully wound each strand around an empty 12-pack soda carton to keep them neat until I installed them. When I was ready to install the lights it was simple to unwind the strand from the carton, this also kept the strand from wrapping up on itself and causing tangles. If you can get them unrolled and installed they are quite beautiful when they're operating. I wrapped a palm tree trunk with one strand, I had enough to go all the way up and back down again. The trunk glows quite bright at night and even though we're almost to the shortest day of the year in sunlight these lights still run almost all night. I ran the second strand along a border around a large island of palms in a corner of my lot. I had enough to outline the complete border and then come back for a double strand across the front. Again, at night, it's quite beautiful and surprisingly bright from 300 feet away. I won't buy these again because they're too hard to unroll and too flimsy in the way they're made. Yes they are incredibly inexpensive and it's a good thing or they would have gone back to Amazon. Also they are beautiful and deliver greatly beyond the build quality of the product. I question how long they'll last but for now, we're just enjoying them. Wishing everyone happy adventures in solar lighting.

Very thin wire ... untangling is a nightmare and only lasted a month
Didn't expect these to be so thin wire. After a good hour trying to untangle the string right out of the box finally got them lined in the yard. Lights ok.. Kind of blue tint. But works. Update..Took them out of the box 2 weeks ago and neither string of lights work... so basically will last one season or just a a month...not good!

Accent lights that just keep on workin and working every night now for years, without fail
I bought these more than two years ago and they are still going strong, Unbelievable I did not touch these lights for a year and a half and they came on every night, and still are I just had to put new rechargeable batteries in and they are still working! The lights are bright enough for accent lighting and easy on the eyes.

Got it today!
So far we love them. Let them charge all day. Detangleing them was a nightmare! The light looks blue. I will update if they fade over time and how long if they are on when I go to bed. Lots of modes! So I had it set so that only half the lights were on at once and it would blink back and forth. Had them out and on constantly from just after thanksgiving to a week after Christmas and they were just like new when I packed them away. I am super happy.

Light came quickly and seemed to be like our last set of similar ones (different brand) which we had. It took close to an hour to unravel them! I’m not sure what kind of machine or person thought it was some kind of sick joke to intertwine most of the strings but it was ridiculous. Once unwrapped, one set worked just fine but the second one had breaks in the strings and my husband had to repair the breaks before they could be used (which we of course didn’t figure out until nearly night time when they came on. Now that they are up (and ghetto rigged to work) they seem fine and look great.
