The lens attachment, arriving excellently packaged, is clearly well made. The lens clips easily and securely to the phone. The wide-view lens is center weighted, magnifying the center of the field at the cost of the periphery. The macro lens must be steadied at around half an inch from the subject and has a narrow depth of field. Neither lens is designed to work with the camera flash, and setting up proper lighting of the subject can be tricky with the macro lens. The macro lens works well for me, allowing me to get closeups of insects and small plants. In general, I think this accessory lens kit is well-crafted and easily mounted on the cell phone, but the lenses serve very specialized interests in photography.

So seller offered me a new one to try out, stating last one was a defect.....and asked for updated review...The new one is acceptable. I'm not sulking in dissappointment so not as motivated to make time to create that comparison photo spread.But the new one is useable...... it's not 100% as there are a little bit blurry edges, but only to the point you might not be able to see fine print on some writing in your picture...... I'm a realtor so I need the wide angle, but maybe it's good that the focus is on the middleRegardless, their customer service, responsiveness, all the extra goodies is above and beyond....so especially with sending out a useable return product.... I'm happy..... I can't expect professional photos for a discount widelens on my camera phone----------------------------------------------------------------Great idea, great price.... so Why so Curved on Edges?Just bought this wide angle lens for my camera phone.....I'm a realtor and these would be great for listing shots.....Which is precisely why I bought 2 of the leading reviewed camera wide lenses to compare...I attached my photos to compare1. competitor lens - perfect wide perception of shot, but what's with the blurry edges?2. samsung note 8 - great narrow shot3. bull's eye - clear, crisp, but way to curvy, fisheye effect for clean photos!Pretty disappointed with all the wide lenses

Very happy with my purchase! I got this lens attachment because I take a lot of photos with my iPhone 6s and was headed to Horseshoe Bend so figured that it would be useful. It fits easily and firmly over my Speck case. Very nice quality and has a good weight which can be an issue when using a cheap selfie stick as I found out (nearly lost my phone down the canyon - selfie stick's fault not the lens). I have used both the macro and wide angle lens and am impressed with the quality of the photos for a clip-on attachment. I just wish there was a cover for the wide angle lens and a more rugged case with a carabiner so it's easier to carry on my backpack or belt loop while out on the trail. Recommended!

This had great amazon reviews but sadly the clip doesn’t stay on the phone so the lens never worked for me. A complete waste of money. I had bought it for a once in a lifetime trip to Ireland and couldn’t ge the kind of photos I wanted to with a lens like this should have been. Now I’ve missed the return deadline or I would have returned. Do not buy for iPhone X or new mode w phone lens on the side!!!

If you want a SLIGHT 120 degree wide-angle effect and fisheye bend to your phone's camera, this is the kit for you. Stack the macro and the wide angle lenses, screw them onto the clip, clip the clip over your phone's lens, and go. Good for vlogging, taking group pictures with friends, or holiday dinner tables. Not so great for filming both sides of the street while driving, which is what I wanted it for... Why no one seems to make 170 degree lens attachments for phones, I have no idea.I'm taking off two stars for how ridiculously tightly the lens cap was stuck on to the macro lens. That may seem petty, but it took me 20 minutes to pry the damn thing off. It simply would not twist. I had to resort to jamming a butter knife under the edge of the cap, wiggling and pushing all the way around it, to finally finally pop it loose. This of course scratched the frame of the lens and chipped the plastic cap. I don't really care about that from a cosmetic standpoint, I just want the lens to do their job, but for the price I shouldn't have to go to that amount of bother.

After purchasing, I did not find real value with this product. The pictures do not come out any better than with your phone alone. This is more of a gimic to get a fisheye effect. Other than that, not a fan. Has quality built product. That is a positive.

This lens attachment was a gift for my sister; she is an avid Instagram and Facebook user.I knew she wanted to increase the originality of her images, so I hoped this gift would help her. She fell in love with the lens attachments.In addition to photography, my sister is also a creative homemaker. Therefore, it was natural for her to test lenses in the kitchen. We made a few fun sandwiches and snapped pictures before the kids got them for the lunch.We found that the phone camera with no lens takes quite good close-ups. However, finer, more interesting details came through with the Macro lens.The Star filter gives the best results on electrical light points. It will be exciting to take pictures at Christmas.We did what shouldn't be done with the Wide Angle lens; we took close-ups of my husband while they played and made funny faces. The kids really loved these funny pictures.We used a Samsung 5 with the lenses. Now my sister wants a new cell phone with a better camera. Now she is even more interested in photography after we did this photo session.I would strongly recommend these lenses as a gift for a creative person.
