lic. plumber in ky checking it out
im a lic plumber in KY and im about to start building my home very soon right now we are working on get utility at property and seen these for wall use and plan to use on home when build found this yard hydrate and wanted to test this product out. there is some concerns most yard hydrates are 3/4" this one is 1/2" but it does tell u ahead of time on post i don't think this will be a issue but most waterlines ran to these are 3/4" so u will need a reducer in my area u will also need a double check installed on all yard hydrate even this oneother thing im concern about is what happens if dirt falls in spigot area. things i like about it is the product is made from stainless steel and most other products are made with galvanized pipe, other thing i like is it more hidden and looks cleaner, i like the weep hole has a protector on it to keep the rock from clogging it upinstall was the same as any other hydrate if u have basic skills in plumbing u can install this product just make sure to check if u need a check valve in your area.right now i cant test how the flow of water is and how i like using it do to were wait on the meter to be installed i will update when we have water hook to it. but so far im happy with it.Update this works great and very easy to use no more turning a Handel it just an easy push down and twist and water is on. Has great pressure coming out and volume only issue I see is that the plastic part u turn the faucet on seem to take more wear then anything but so far no issues with that but this part is not to expensive but would be nice if they made it in metal like brass or aluminumUpdate a year later this thing is working still great. The little adapter that turns on the faucet is a little wore out so that part will be getting replaced which is the device that you screw the hose on and you push in but other than that I’m very happy with this product, much better than the normal yard hydrants that stick out of the ground

I hope its an improvement on the above ground hydrants.
Got this for the garden. Time will tell if it is easy to use or durable. As far as installation.......nothing is easy at 3 ft deep and you have to dig down below 3 feet ......place a block under it, and gravel for it to drain. All makes perfect sense, just didnt plan for that when I had the excavator digging the lines. The product itself looks 1st class, all stainless steel and one unit just hook it up, get it level to the ground surface and plumb.

It works as advertised!
This was a great replacement for my existing hose bib. The ground hydrant was easy to install and easy to use. I have only had it up and running for about a week so still unsure about durability. (Although it seems to be well constructed.)

Works exactly as advertised
I found this item while searching the various hydrant styles for my water line upgrades. I'm using this indoors in my barn. Since space is an issue I like the ability to locate this underneath my sink. It works really well - even better than expected. The connecter has a check valve to keep water from squirting out backwards from the hose with minimal water loss during disconnection. Freezing weather coming? Just unplug and you're done. Really like this and highly recommend...

Beware: An Interesting New Design, but . . .
I ended up not using this product, and was disappointed to discover that the return window had closed. To make a long story short, I ended up going with the well known and traditional Woodford frost free hydrant. I am still somewhat inclined to think that the Aquor wall hydrants may be a good product, but in my opinion the product does not translate very well to an in-ground configuration. After making the initial hookup and testing its operation, I found that the mechanism does not turn all that easily when under water pressure, and there is nothing apparent in the design or the written instructions that provides a way to prevent the whole thing from turning when turning the water on and off. What started off as a leak free installation promptly turned into a very visible leak once I began testing it. I re-tightened it twice and added additional Teflon tape to the fitting, but each time I later turned the hydrant on or off, the entire mechanism twisted on the elbow connected at the bottom and the leak would return. After spending most of the day digging a 2 x 3 foot hole I no longer had the patience or energy to try and rig something up to prevent the whole thing from turning, and I did not trust that simply pouring the gravel around it would prevent it from continuing to turn with use. Nor did I want to have to dig it up again for what I predicted would be a certain leak. One other thing occurred to me as I was working on the project, which would have meant more work to finish the installation. I did not actually have this particular issue since I did not keep it, but I wondered: what happens if dirt or gravel or dirty rain water somehow goes down the hole? With a flush installation with a yard or driveway area this could be very likely, meaning more work on the installation to try and somehow protect anything foreign from falling in. It says it is self-cleaning, but is it really self-cleaning under harsh outdoor conditions? I may or may not try an Aquor wall hydrant at some point, but I would definitely not recommend the ground version of this product. One more comment, yes for those of you who are asking if I really had it tight,, I did have the connection very tight to the point that I was afraid of damaging the threads if I continued to tighten it much more. As near as I can tell, the 24" length of the hydrant combined with the hose fitting must create quite a bit of twisting torque, at least enough to affect the tightness of the fitting at the bottom.
