This foam is amazing! Please buy!!!
This stuff is awesome. I was going to purchase a different brand of foam and luckily went to the 'compare' button. I found this as an option. It was the same price as the other acoustic foam I was planning to purchase, but I liked the reviews better. This stuff has sticky all over the back rather than just a couple tabs to hold it up and it certainly stays up great. But it doesn't appear it will damage the walls. I had to rip some foam off and it came off with just a little piece still stuck on the wall, which would easily be scraped off with a paint scraper. It is also very easy to cut. My wall was not exactly perfect size to fit everything without cutting some foam and I have that electrical outlet I had to work around. I cut the foam as needed for those spaces and it looks so gorgeous that I am pretty much gonna croak from it's beauty.I can't really speak to it's sound suppression, but I was able to hear my neighbors watching TV while I was putting my foam up and then that sound got quieter and quieter as I put more foam on until I heard no more neighbor TV through paper-thin walls. Please buy this foam and not another brand!!

They come vacuum packed, throw in your dryer with clothes on low heat to reconstitute.
These arrived vacuum packed and several of them were so compressed that they were not usable. To resolve this, I threw about a dozen of them into our next clothes dryer load and ran them for about 35 minutes on low heat. This process helped reconstitute most of them back into a usable state. Parts of the paper covering over the adhessive backing will start to come off during this process, so plan on using these immediately after this process.A few things to note:- The adhessive feels light, but you simply press down on these after you have applied them, several times, and they will adhere to the surface better.- Throw these in the clothes dryer cycle on low heat for anything from 10-40 minutes (depending on how compressed they are) to get these back to their original dimentions, or very close to it.- If you are covering a larger area, I would suggest that you lightly draw out the pattern for how you are applying these and use that as a guide for application to ensure that you are mounting these level and within their dimensions. You can pull up and stretch a corner, a side, or three to get them to fully cover the 12"x12" dimensional area.- Installing these in a 90 degree x 90 degree alternating patern is more aesthetically pleasing as you will have a difficult time getting them to line up perfectly in a straight pattern. We purchased these to acoustically treat our home theater room. We wanted to blacken the front wall behind the projector screen for a better picture (to stop some of the reflection from the light passing through the screen) and decided to use these broadband adhessive-backed 12"x12" acoustic tile products. We covered behind the entire screen for this first treatment. We figured that we could use some different flat accoustic panels and custom cut them (steel ruler by hand), then fold them so it made a nice cable concealer for some new surrounds that we will be adding. We are going about it the analog way for now and:- Walking around while playing music to listen for standing waves, voids, excited areas, etc.- Walking a mirror around the walls and looking for where we can see speakers while sitting in our listening position so that we can add wall panels on those reflective surfaces, etc.Installing these black tiles resolved our initial concern of the projector light making it through the screen and reflecting back onto it. You can audibly hear less reverberation so the center channel area sounds a bit cleaner. An overall good value for the product.

Perfect for Miner
I bought this to try and quiet down the room I run my network and miner machines in as you can hear it thru the floor on the next level. To my surprise I was able to reduce the noise to almost nothing on the next level. ( ran out of foam squares ). I will need some more to finish the job. I also installed some in my computer area for noise traveling thru the floor above my computer area as well. That area worked out great. I can crank the music/bass and I don't get yelled at by the wife for being too loud!I do like the design as well as I can turn each tile to a different way so it isn't same pattern on the ceiling and wall. These really knocked down the sound and were a great price! If it worked for me, it should work for you too!!.

Great product, packaging could use some work
Bought this on a whim while adding some features to my office setup.Product arrived timely, although it was delivered to my neighbor, instead of me, even with detailed delivery instructions. It was packaged in a plain cardboard box, with the panels themselves in vacuum sealed plastic bags, albeit one of the two bags had a hole (which turned out to be a blessing, more on that later). After unpacking the panels, the instructions say that they should expand within seconds. They did not. Being impatient, I didn’t want to wait the 24 hours suggested to wait for them to expand. To that end, I misted them lightly with water, and applied a hair dryer to the panels in order to steam the panels slightly and force them to expand. It worked like a charm, though I suggest picking apart the individual layers before doing this, as they won’t want to expand if they’re stuck together. After they all expanded, it was a simple matter of peel-and-stick to apply them to the wall. They work well to absorb sound, and have this-far remained where I put them.

Exactly as advertised and looks great
Adhesion is very good, the company actually gives you extra adhesion tabs to add on to the existing layer just in case; which I thought really was a generous gesture. The pictures speak for themselves I mean seriously, it looks good, everyone always has something good to say about my panels when they walk in. Now it is not a terribly dense product, so I'm afraid these are more form over function, but they do function to some degree. I’d say on a scale of 1-10 they do about a 5 at actually blocking noise. But as far as form it’s a solid 8 out of 10. When you first get them, follow the instructions they give you and it will work.

Great product!
I loved the style of these because they weren't like all the other acoustic foam I've seen. The adhesive is amazing! I have textured walls and have no issues with the panels sticking. They even come with EXTRA adhesive stickers if you need it. Also the product comes in a very small box due to the panels being vacuum sealed, so opening them up is very satisfying.
