Mine was defective and could not not detect dusk, so the light never came on and I had to send it back. It would only work in pitch dark, as in a windowless room with the light off. Every time I would mounted it on the wall, it would not work in every time I took it down into the dark it worked. I was trying to use it in the middle of the night between midnight and 1 AM, so it was as dark as it was going to get. I replaced this light with another make and model of light and it had no problems working in the same spot and none of the other dusk-to-dawn lights in the area had problems working. I took it down and remounted it four times until I finally gave up.It is fairly well-made although the description is not entirely honest. It claims to be made of stainless steel, but this is only a cladding around the top and side surfaces. As seen from below, where the light is, it is entirely made of plastic. The back surface which is the mounting plate where the screws go through is made entirely of plastic, so expect this to weaken overtime with sun exposure.It has three lighting modes control by a button, that from you only work in a pitchdark indoor room. You know which mode you have selected because a LED comes on and changes color. This only happened indoors in a darkened room and every time I mounted it outside light would not come on and the LED mode light would not illuminate. The light itself is fairly bright once you get it to come on, but it also has a constant-on dim mode with only slight brightening with motion detection. Unlike other lights, you cannot control for motion sensitivity nor can you control for how long the light remains illuminated.The light runs off of a user-replaceable lithium 18650 battery. I did open it and check. If you do so, make sure you open slowly so you don't damage any wires. The interior construction is not very robust.Obviously there's a problem here with quality control. Perhaps I received a lemon, but that is up for you to decide whether you want to invest the money and take the chance.

This is large size, bright motion security light. I installed close to the front entrance door. It is very bright and coves wide area on the front pathway.The light works great, just like the situation described on the product picture.This light need lots of sunshine during daytime I first put the light on the area has less sunshine and the light soon out of battery. Later I moved the light to high place where has more sunshine, now the light can lighting almost all night for every case there is something close to the light.Combined with this security light and security camera, now I feel much safer when I sleep during night time.

This solar powered light is a good value and it's sensor+dim mode is very useful for me. It comes on at dark with a dim light, bright enough to see where you are walking. When you get closer it comes on bright and lights up the area very well. Then after a short period after you leave it return to the dim mode. It's working for me very well.

It is actually brighter than I thought. I used it right above the stair way of my deck. Very helpful these days because it is always dark when I got home from work. I don't need to leave my light on for a long time and save some electricity bill dollar. I installed it on the south side to make sure it can get some sunshine during day, don't know how this will work at north side of house.

Worked okay for about about a week. Light was sufficient enough to light the stairway. Light just stopped working for no reason at all. Had this light mounted over a door and FULL sun almost 6 hours of the day so it's not like it didn't have enough light to charge. Very disappointed.

DOA. Fully charged it, but it does nothing. Single button has no effect. There are no instructions. Opened it up and found that the battery holder had broken due to the force of the spring. Poor disign. Taped it all together. Time will tell if it functions.

These solar lights are easy to mount and light up a great path in our backyard. I got them because they are solar powered and I love them because they can be motion sensor. They work great and for the past few weeks have not let me down.
