Philips LED Mauve Ceiling Light with Motion Sensor 6W 2700K [Warm White - White] For Home Indoor Lighting, Livingroom, Bedroom and Dining

Purchased this after having the 12W of same which was far too bright for small hall. This is perfect and lights up the hall 2.3m x 2.3 without being too bright that it's blindingly so. It is exactly what was wanted when entering either via living room, bedroom or wetroom. Was very easy to install and is preset to the exact time frame as required. It stays on while in the hall area (comes on once a door is opened or just before entering the hallway through an open doorway) automatically turns off 10 seconds after leaving.

Don't let the brand fool you, I got an obviously faulty one, but couldn't know until it was fitted. The motion sensor is erratic, sometimes it lights with no reason, other times I can walk right under it and it doesn't light up. Feels cheap in the hand, but it looks great mounted on the ceiling. It is lightweight which makes it easy to mount securely.

This is an easy to mount and use product. Works just as described - can’t go wrong with this.

Having read previous reviews I was going to look for an alternative product. But as a loyal Phillips customer, and electrician, I decided to buy it and review it myself. It’s a low cost ‘all in one fitting’ so you have to accept you do get what you pay for even with a global brand like Phillips. The fitting itself is very lightweight and my first impression was that it was flimsy. But once installed the fitting looks good quality. There are no adjustable settings for either light sensitivity, time or movement. When first installed the light wouldn’t activate in dim (not dark) conditions. Holding a hand over the sensor would trigger the light which is what other reviews have commented on. The solution was very simple, although slightly unorthodox. The light sensor is a small clear led on top of the circuit board. Simply by dabbing a black felt pen on the top reduced the light sensitivity and resolved my issue. If you want adjustable sensitivity and time settings buy the Shan version of this light!

Easy to install , very cheap

It works perfectly for my application. Is cheaply made (mostly plastic). Does the job - light at the front door when people arrive or go. Cannot complain.

I bought this fitting for our utility room as its a room that often gets the light left on by mistake and I wanted to save energy by fitting a light which would switch off if nobody was in the room but come back on when someone walks back in. The fitting is however supposed to be permanently powered, which isn't clear from the description, and it actually comes on when first powered by the switch, goes off after 5 seconds, then comes on again when the sensor detects movement, so it isn't fit to be used as a switched device, only as a permanently powered device

First one delivered was faulty, didn't turn off fully. Got a replacement which works as should. Philips instructions state plug in. But it is hard wired, which is simple to do. Perfect for my dark hallway and don't have to keep feeling for the lightswitch now.

The sensor works when a person stands right beneath the lamp. Too strait angle. No possibility to regulate the angle and turning on. The light remains on for only 30 seconds. No possibility to regulate the timing
