OEM Ford Carplay USB Hub Module Upgrade for Sync 3 Models HC3Z-19A387-H

This part functions exactly as expected. It added car play to my Sync 3 equipped Ford. I immediately realized it was not the same dimensions as the original However, it is easy to swap the internals to the original. Installation was less than fifteen minutes. Note the orientation of the circuit boards, they fit in slots.

Came in pretty quickly. It works perfectly in both ports and my car was able to do CarPlay once again + charge my device. I’m happy!

Worked perfect on my platinum f150. The trim piece was different with the one delivered so I swapped the internals of the hub to my old one to make it fit and look oem. Was plug and play and works great!

One of the USB ports in my truck stopped working. The dealership wanted a ridiculous amount of money for the part (double what this one cost on Amazon) and even more to install. Figured I could do it myself after watching a YouTube video. It was easy to install (and I’m a 58-year-old woman who is definitely not any sort of mechanic). Piece of cake to install and has worked perfectly for several months now.

This is exactly what I needed to get CarPlay working in my 2016 F150 lariat. I also had to download sync 3 onto the truck from fords website. The new plug module is smaller than the original one in my truck. I was able to open up the black housing on both the old and new plug and swap the guts which were the exact same size. It worked great.

Let’s call it what it is—this wasn’t an upgrade, it was damage control. The original factory module? Total embarrassment. Dropped connection, wouldn’t recognize CarPlay half the time, and made me question whether Ford actually tests their tech before shipping it out.Enter its replacement—Swapped it in, fired it up, and finally got the functionality I was supposed to have from day one. Clean install, factory fit, and CarPlay now connects instantly like it has a clue.Ford should’ve nailed this the first time, but at least this part puts the fire out. If your original hub took a dump like mine did, save the troubleshooting headache and just get this one.It’s not an upgrade. It’s Ford doing a do-over—and this time, it actually works.

Ordered the USB HUB module to enable Carplay. After installing the HUB, charging no longer worked on any type of device. Reinstalled the original hub - and charging returned (Carplay still did not work - as expected). Returned the item tp Rob Baker Ford and was charged a 100% restocking fee (no details as to why) for a defective product. The Part was an OEM product in OEM packaging and returned in the same packaging. If you receive a working part - then probably no issues, but if you have any issues with the part - expect to pay for a non working part. It fit my truck like a charm, glad to get my apple car play back. Apparently I must have dropped some drink on the original I had, and this fit right in and was exactly like the original. It seems to work well, however the price seems a bit high, but it seemed like a hard part to find. Anyway, the first one I bought was definitely used so I returned it, then got a replacement and was night and day difference and it works well.
