In 1999, Sega was released their biggest system yet, The Dreamcast.And the big killer ap for the system was Sonic adventure.To help promote the western release, Archie was commissioned to change the design for some of the characters.In this volume we see a massive shake up in the status que with not just Sonic but with other characters.Issue 71 - A strange Satellite causes a strange anomaly to occur on Mobious and Sonic tries to stop it.The art is great but the story is structured in a strange way where the events are told backwards. IT makes it really hard to innterprit what's happening, which odd since the story itself is pretty simple.Why do this? I don't know. IT's still good if you read the segments in the right order.Issue 72 - After Rotor leaves the team to be with his family in the artic, The mobius TV network is highjacked and shows Robotnik's origin. This is a pretty good one, seeing Robotnik's back story is a real treat. That's all I have to say. It's a good one.8.25 out of 10Issue 73 - Sonic and friends develop a plan to stop the Satellites from doing more damage to mobius. This is a build up issue. The part that really stands out to me though is the part where Sally talks with her brother and they become friends. Though what bothers me is that after Sally explains her side of the story and why she was distant, Elias interrupts her and blurts that he doesn't want to be king. And then we cut to the exposition dump about the satellites. I was so frustrated that we didn't see them bond as a family. it's a good read, but it has its flaws.7.5 out of 10Issue 74 - The robian residents have disappeared, and Sonic and friends know what the cause is. So they dis obey orders to go to space and enter the space station that connects the Satellites. And they find it's Robotnik ...but with a twist. This is the highlight of this volume. The action and character moments are well done here. However, I'll leave it at that since I don't want to spoil anything.9 out of 10This is a good read, and I should also mention that there is a back story here about the Acorn's family history with humans and guns that is really good, yet really dark too.Next time, we see things shake up again.

My grand-daughter loves reading and she adores all the Sonic books, she's a great fan of Sonic and as there are a lot of books I won't run out of ideas any time soon.
