I love these shoes. I transitioned from Crocs which have worked great for years but I have used Dansko nursing shoes and have loved them for years. My only complaint with these is that with Crocs, cleaning is easy and there has never been a smell. These shoes are harder to clean and have a smell. I am sensitive to foot smell and notice on myself when I have never had that issue. I am very self conscious about that. I have tried a few things but foot smell still seems to linger on the shoes since they are harder to clean. I do get compliments on the design. My gait has changed. If you are not used to Dansko shoes, these may be tougher to get used to. They wear down to a point and last forever. I am used to that but others may want to be aware of how these kind of shoes work. They will last forever and no foot pain so definitely worth the investment. My back pain has improved as well.

I love Dansko but I had forgotten that they run on the narrow width. My feet are a bit more swollen than in the past. The slides fit me perfectly except for the width. So I had to return them. So when considering Dansko sandals or slides, keep in mind that they run on the narrow width.

I have never purchased a shoe from Dansko that wasn't perfect.

Over the past 3 years, I have purchased 6 pairs in 6 different colors/fabrics. I LOVE THESE SHOES! I hope Dansko never changes the Sophie, but just keeps bringing out new colors and fabrics each season. I wear them with everything: shorts, dresses, trousers, even around the house.

I have worn the Dansko Stevie for the last few summers. The Sophie is the exact sane last, heel height and foodbed but with a different upper. I needed to go up a size from 38 to 39, but with feet of different sizes --like most of us-- the adjustability of the Sophie was paramount. I worried that my feet might slip out as there is no ankle strap: no worries, feet are secure and I can walk all day in these sandals as they are the most comfortable ever. I have the metallic stripe and the leopard print and everyone comments and likes them on me! I like them on me because I forget I am even wearing shoes ...

Had already returned a pair of these that were too small. Ordered a size up but still too small. Had to return. Ended up finding a pair in a retail store and bought them 1 size up from what I usually wear. Perfect fit. Very cute comfortable shoe. Bought these because I needed stiff soled shoes for foot issues but they are nice enough to wear even though issues are now resolved. I love them. Would rate 5 stars except for sizing.

This is my go-to shoe in summer for dashing around....I know, it's not sporty looking....you don't want to look sporty all the time!
