If two more consecutive incorrect PIN entries follow, the alarm will sound for 1 minute, and the keypad will be locked down for 3 minutes, also stoppable by using a key. This safe is accessed via an easy to set three to eight digit PIN. Two keys are also supplied, in case of a forgotten PIN or when changing batteries. The 130dB alarm is triggered for 1 minute by a force attack or three incorrect PIN entries. It can be stopped by entering the correct PIN or using a key. If two more wrong PIN entries occur, the alarm sounds again for 1 minute and the keypad is locked for 3 minutes. The key can stop both the alarm and keypad lock. It features 16 mm locking bolts that are retracted by the handle once the correct code has been entered. The safes feature two indicator lights for easy status reading: green for open, red for error or low battery (flashes red for low battery). Looks really solid ,good quality. Good size for valuables. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product for securing papers, bills, money and bank cards in. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 26 June 2025* Brought this for the mother-in-law as we found she was saving her money in a tin on a shelf in the kitchen. She had her OAP pension and the farther in laws pension each week and she puts his away in this tin and has done since he passed just over two years ago, so you could guess how much she had in the tin. Tried to get her to put it in a bank, but she’s worried they may lose it or the government will take it from her. (Since Rachel Reeve became Chancellor I agree with her) Good product for securing papers, bills and bank cards. The dimensions are correct and the handling is easy. Changing the code is very easy. Easy fix to a wall. ### ⭐ Unreliable key pad *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 January 2026* Unreliable keypad on this model. After 18 months seldom use the keypad has stopped working. I have replaced the batteries several times, reset the safe and tested it a few times with the safe empty just to check it worked. However, after trying it again sometime later it bleeped after the first number only then stopped working! Annoying is not the word for it after only 18 months. I tried replacing the batteries again but the same issue occurred. I have emailed Yale and await their response. I’ll stick to key operated safes in future and not a Yale one! ## Frequently Bought Together - Yale - Electronic Alarmed Safe Medium - Standard Security - YEC/250/DB2 - ABUS 55/40 Solid Brass Keyed Padlock with 2 Keys, Hardened Steel Shackle with Anti Corrosion Inner Lock Components, Keyed Different - Master Lock 410ORJ Grip Tight Lockout for Wide or Tall Circuit Breakers Orange --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.au/products/459648099-yale-alarmed-electronic-safe-medium-standard-protection-built-in-130db](https://www.desertcart.com.au/products/459648099-yale-alarmed-electronic-safe-medium-standard-protection-built-in-130db) --- *Product available on Desertcart Australia* *Store origin: AU* *Last updated: 2026-10-27*
