Silent Hill 3

Atmospheric Dread and Industrial Menace
This music is the stuff of nightmares: wonderfully dark, forboding, unnerving nightmares. When it isn't engendering the need to peer into every shadow and around every corner, it's giving you respite with lilting, haunting melodies that are darkly tender, or treating you to the talents of Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (sometimes credited as Melissa Williamson). You don't need to be a fan of the Silent Hill games or even know about them to enjoy this album. All you need is a taste for music that's TRULY alternative.

Never a Miss
Another soundtrack decently executed with a few stunning pieces shining through the rest. A transition from the ambient mood from the first and amplifies the more somber tone of the second. Probably the most accessible of the three soundtracks.

Better than a bootleg
It's cheaper and much better quality than a bootleg cd which most sellers are selling now. A lot of the songs are pretty good, some you'll just not want to ever listen to...ever. You're Not Here is one of the best songs on there, it's the title song for Silent Hill 3. "Songs" like number 22 are actually just a recording of someone talking and track one is just wailing, seriously.Might as well just buy all the songs since its cheaper.

Five Stars
One of the best OSTs for PS2 games. Very recommendable seller too.

Wow!!!
This is an amazing soundtrack!April 2003.I excitedly drove to the mall to pick up a copy of Silent Hill 3. See My best friend was coming over, he lives a long way away from me and I don't get to see him much, and we are HUGE fans of Survival/Horror video games. Actually we love just plain getting scared silly until we get the "shakes"... literally. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true.So anyway, I go into the "Game force" store... or as me and my best friend like to call it, "Game Farts"... hahahahaha!!!! So I walked in to pick up my copy of the game. I was very excited to get the game even though it had been out for like half a year already. The reason I didn't get it until then is cuz I didn't have a good enough excuse to pick it up until now. When I got to my car, I opened the game to look at it, you know how it is when you get something new, you have to look atit. I opened it up, and there inside was the game... and another cd. I was like, "huh?", that's when I noticed the little notice on the back of the game case."Soundtrack Included!"...........................................what?????.............I was freaking out! I was too scared to even listen to the cd!So I started driving home. When I got to my street, which is pretty long... and dark... and scary... not to mention the fact that the forest out back of my house is haunted (my best friend and I saw two ghosts there), despite all those things, I stuck in the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack. The first song, "Lost Carol", a song containing just one woman's voice singing a beautiful yet haunting theme. IT just lasted some 30 odd seconds, but it was enough to get me scared.I know it sounds stupid, but I turned the headlights on my car off, you know, for effect. The next few songs played through, and I skipped to a random song (I was parked right outside the entrance to the woods behind my house), I think it was song 15, or 16, or one of those teen songs, but it contained a chorus of bass voices in a choir singing some satanic like song. I'm not sure I could call it "music", but it was enough to scare the living life out of me.I ejected my cd, grabbed my game, and ran as fast as I could inside my house. I was pretty scared. So that night when my best friend got to my house, we turned on the surround sound, turned on the TV, and started getting scared! This is a great soundtrack. I love it, but my favorite Silent HIll soundtrack is still Silent Hill 2's.later,dark
