Quality Desk
Quality desk. Light cherry is soft orange like cherry (no red). It fits perfectly to my teak bookshelves that over time became more like cherry in color. Instructions are clear, assembly is easy and quality of the top is first class. Highly recommended.

A nice, quality, minimalist desk
My current setup with this desk is that it holds two 27" monitors, my laptop, keyboard and mouse, lamp, speakers, and a smattering of random items strewn across it.I looked through a lot of the desks available on Amazon as well as local office furniture stores, and couldn't find one that matched my criteria: A long, solid slab of wood. I didn't need drawers, wheels, or any wooden shelves. I wanted something very minimalistic, and this 72-inch desk from Bush Furniture fit my bill. The construction of this desk is straight forward, but requires a fair bit of strength as the individual components have some heft to them. The only tool needed is a Philip screwdriver (size #3?) for some light fastening when the wooden slab is placed upon the two legs and backboard. The process took roughly 2 hours at a leisurely pace. Having an additional person for the assembly is recommended, but it's possible to gingerly muster through. The package included two plastic pencil holders which I left uninstalled, and two plastic covers for the two holes on the slab of wood which I use for cable management.A nod to the Bush Furniture's customer service:There was an incident in which I was missing one of the screws for the final assembly; it seemed to be a non-standard screw that I couldn't find at a local hardware store. I called the number on the manual, and explained the issue. They were willing to ship me the missing screw, and it arrived promptly (about 3 days). Ultimately, I could've ignored the missing screw, and proceeded with the final assembly just fine, but I was willing to wait to finish the assembly exactly as was outlined in the manual. The process was very painless, and added to my satisfaction of this product.

Great desk for home
Using this to replace my glass/metal L desk, and wow it's nice to have everything just laid out in front of me. The wood is very pleasing, overall the desk has a nice minimalist look without looking too industrial/officey.

Quite happy & would recommend (72")
I had some reservation, got the 72"...Packaging was actually great! No damage, a damp towel cleaned off any packing dust just fine. It is heavy, so I'd be sure to have help getting it to where you want it. Only assembly step kind of requiring help is puting the top on. For the price I'm quite pleased, ya particle board, but thick (ohya) and the space to spread out! 2 adults really could make this work in a pinch with lean setups...To that note, I have a single VIVO brand monitor arm mounted off the back corner with no worry whatsoever. The back edge does not have enough for the clamp. One could make use of the cable pass-throughs on the top to mount a monitor to as well.Cable pass throughs on the sides work and look good.I have a long surge protector/power strip in the wire trays and that works really well.I'm on a budget but needed a big and simple work area... I did 'spend up' and am not disappointed. Would get another and/or buy again.

3.5 Stars: Good Quality; 3 Minor Dings; 2 Missing Parts
This desk is exactly what I wanted for my home office. It's a simple, sturdy business-class desk shell. It has 3 minor dings from shipping, certainly not a big deal to me, and it was expected given the size, weight, and other reviews. It did have some missing parts: a plastic side-hole cover, 3 anchor screws for connecting the desk-top to the frame. I may still contact Bush for the parts, but it wasn't a deal-breaker.*PROS: 1. Good quality for the price (top is very sturdy particle board; frame is lesser quality, though): +4.5 Stars 2. Bush sent color swatches by request through Amazon, allowing educated color selection: +0.5 Stars*CONS: 1. Minor dings during shipping: -0.5 Stars 2. Missing parts: -1 StarAlso, the top of the desk easily supports my VIVO dual monitor mount. I had to drill a hole through the desk, but I was already planning on having to do that. Most monitor mounts will not have enough room on the back to avoid drilling a hole. Finally, order the color swatches is you have time; they are free.

A quality desk I am happy with.
I purchased this desk to use as a computer workstation for both work and gaming and I couldn't be happier with it. It was fairly easy to assemble and it's sturdy as a rock. It's wide enough to have room for multiple monitors with plenty of space for my keyboard and mouse as well as my work laptop with my desktop tucked off to the side. I even have room for a cat bed so my cats can be nearby without being in the way. The cable runs are a big bonus for keeping all the wires up and out of the way of my legs. Not to mention it just looks neater with them all in one spot.

Better than I hoped.
I've owned and assembled more cheap particle board furniture than I care to admit. This IS particle board assembled with cam locks and pins just like the rest of them, but this is the first piece of this type of construction that I would use words like "Nice", "Sturdy", "Quality" to describe. The desktop and the legs are all very solid 1" thick board, the board itself seems to be extra dense and solid. The pins and cam locks are heavier duty that most I've seen. The veneer on the desktop seems thicker than most, and plastic molding isn't just wedged into the groove around the top. It appears to be glued it's entire length, and there are no warped spots and you can't hook the edge with a finger nail it's in so tight.Assemble was quick and easy, with decent instructions, and no missing pieces.Normally I figure this type of furniture to be fine if you assemble it where it's going to be used, but typically it self destructs if you have to take it apart to move it, or sometimes even collapses from the stresses of moving even if you don't take it apart. I have not had the need to move this around much, but I get the impression it would deal with moves pretty easily.I feel like I got more for my money with this brand than I would have with others of similar construction.Very Happy.
